Since you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit in sincere love of the brethren, love one another fervently with a pure heart. 1 Peter 1.22

There is a simple and efficient way of purifying your soul: by the Truth. It is the Word of God, it is the Lord Jesus Himself, and thus, when we get to know it, we are set free of evil oppression; we obtain full forgiveness, and complete restoration of our dignity. There is nothing stronger than the Truth revealed by the Most High. Being God, His manifestation destroys everything that is wrong. 

In the day to day life, many temptations appear. Even Christ was tempted in all things, but did not sin (Hebrews 4:15). This is the demons’ task: to tempt people in their weaknesses. One of the tactics of the enemy is to make us believe that some prohibitions in the Bible are only taboos created by men and that they can actually be done.

If your soul has been contaminated by temptation, if your heart has been invaded by an illicit passion and you are obsessed by someone and think about them all the time, it is time to be obedient to the Truth. If you do so according to this simple but powerful detail, you will be delivered from this evil force, which imprisons and absorbs you. Whoever is in such a situation may have their soul kidnapped by the enemy, which is being taken towards destruction.

The obedience to the Truth will lead you to purify yourself completely. The stain left by Satan in your soul will be erased little by little. Besides, you will see the righteousness of God operating in your life. While you are dominated by the forces of darkness, they will oppress you in such a way that you will not even have the courage to pray and in order to be set free. However, when you are enlightened by the Word, the Truth shall set you free.

When someone falls in sin, their soul is in the hands of the evil spirit that was used by the enemy to tempt them. Then, their soul becomes a spoil of that demon, who fought against their life, and all their riches of understanding and faith become his. It is necessary to follow the Word, fulfilling its orientations. If you act in such a way, your purification will happen and you will be completely delivered. 

Once delivered, you will return to the practice of brotherly love, as orientated by the Master; otherwise, your attitude will be entirely fake. It is very sad to see a person in the hands of the devil: every day, they fall more and more until being defeated. Jesus’ work through us is to give sinners the dignity of children of God, so that they don´t do what the evil one demands from them. 

We must love one another fervently, with a pure heart, in order to fulfill the law of the New Covenant. Now, the New Covenant is the easiest thing to be followed. Once you do your part, you discover that the Lord’s part has already been fulfilled. Everything that Jesus did through His death and resurrection belongs to he who believes.
