For this is the will of God, that by doing good you may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men.

I Peter 2:15

People who do not care about being saved, about serving the Lord and shunning sin are regarded as foolish by the Most High. Many do not understand that our God is not a being who wants to enslave them and that He is not on the hunt for whoever might serve Him. He is the Creator of all things and because He is love (I John 4:8) He does not want anyone to perish (Matthew 18:14), so what we have to do is to believe in everything the Father says.

If you do not keep your silence, the ignorance of the fools will enter into your life and then there will be no difference between you and them. In order to avoid such a thing, you must stand firm on the Word of God without yielding to the wiles of the enemy. The Father’s love, which is an immeasurable gift, is at your disposal; but in order for you to enjoy it, you should take possession of what God’s Word says about you.

In order to keep the ignorance of the fools from dominating you and making you suffer, do what is right: pay heed to the guidance of the Word. Those who strive to take their place in God’s work will never regret it because in addition to getting rid of the ignorance of the fools they will be rewarded by the Lord. Do good and see how God will help you.

Jesus taught us what it means to do good. He who knows how to convey the divine message but does not do it, is doing evil. He who does not use the power he has in Christ may be accused of being a brother of the destroyer. Doing good is to preach the Gospel in the power of the Holy Spirit, cast out demons, heal the sick and never get involved with sin. He who does good pleases the Lord God.

Christ taught us to do good by working miracles, healing, delivering the oppressed and giving advice. Do the same! Say a word of encouragement to those who suffer, give the thirsty the Water of Life, and exert your authority by freeing the demon-possessed. With this attitude, you will also be doing good, and whoever learns from you will be an extension of your ministry.

Undoubtedly, God wants everyone to do good and those who do so shall be rewarded because they will have met the requirements. Follow the pattern the Lord has set and you will also be a role model to someone.

In Christ with love,

R. R. Soares
