Judah, you are he whom your brothers shall praise; Your hand shall be on the neck of your enemies; Your father’s children shall bow down before you.   Genesis 49.8

The Lord chooses whomever He wants, according to the principles of justice and truth. In Him there is no risk of evil. Those who want to succeed for eternity must seek and do God’s will. The heart of man is only fulfilled when in Christ and fulfilling his mission. Here is the biblical principle: we will have everything from God when we give Him everything. Surrender to the Most High will happen if we obey His Word.

We were chosen because the Lord designed it that way. Never blame Him or stop loving Him. Remain in your position in the Kingdom of God. Whoever serves well where he has been placed will obtain more of the divine favor: For those who have served well as deacons obtain for themselves a good standing and great boldness in the faith which is in Christ Jesus (1 Timothy 3.13). We can improve our situation before the Father and before everyone.

It is essential that we know God’s purpose for our lives. This will give us the promotion we must seek. Increasing our confidence in God’s faith and divine love will help us to do more and better execute our calling. Never let your heart deceive you by desiring things you have not been told; be content with what has been revealed. The centurion surprised the Master and got the blessing (Matthew 8.5-13).

Jacob’s 12 sons had important positions in the Kingdom of God, determined by the Lord’s initiative. However, Reuben, who had the highest and most privileged mission, lost everything because he gave himself to sin (Genesis 35.22). Avoid error as one should avoid touching poison. A single drop can kill. Jesus declared: Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves. Therefore be wise as serpents and harmless as doves (Matthew 10.16). Take this advice!

Be like Judah, who had the honor of being praised by his brothers. But don’t forget: your actions will dictate your luck or doom. There will be a Day of reckoning, and he who has carried out his calling recklessly will not go unscathed: If anyone’s work is burned, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire (1 Corinthians 3.15). It would be good if everyone carried out his or her mission with fear, wisdom and love. You can be such a servant by loving God!

None of the children of the Kingdom have any reason to stop doing what he or she has been commanded to do. However, the weak will yield to the flesh, which is good for nothing; becoming puffed up, they will be defiled. Now, the objective of the Word’s instructions is to deliver us from the wiles of the devil. Therefore, be the faithful servant to be praised by the Lord: His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord. (Matthew 25.23).

Wherever you are, be faithful to the task assigned by the Father. Never feel inferior or insignificant before anyone. Honor those who have been placed in honor, knowing that we have to give our best. After all, the Lord has set us an example by giving us His only Son, Heaven’s best. Thank the One who called you to have the privilege of serving Him. God blesses those who believe!

In Christ, with love,

R. R. Soares

Father, Blesser of the faithful! Thank You for our election and our settling in Christ, to take part in Your Body. Your choice is appreciated by those who come to understand what You have destined for each one. We can consider ourselves neither better nor worse, but servants in love and faith!

We will succeed in doing what pleases You. Your love and Your grace assure us that we are pleasing You. We desire to know fully what You have given us in Christ Jesus. Thus, we will glorify You in our actions!

We don't want a new Reuben in our midst. We want to be honored like Judah, who followed in the footsteps of David and so many others who loved You to the end, and finally, Your Only Begotten, who died to give us eternal salvation. Strengthen us to serve You!
