For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.
Romans 5:10
This verse presents the many benefits we have achieved with the death of the Lord Jesus for us on Calvary. Everyone, regardless of the religion they might have professed up until they knew the Truth, is invited to attend the banquet of blessings that God has prepared with the death of his son. Those who accept this invitation starts to enjoy everything that was made on behalf of mankind (Deuteronomy 28:2).
Because of Adam we were excluded from the presence of the Lord, but in Jesus we were reconciled, so that for those who are in Christ – and not in sin – there is no condemnation (Romans 8:1). They become righteous and from being defeated and servants of sin, dominated by passions and lies, they start to serve the true God. As a result, they become more than conquerors (verse 37), and the forces of darkness begin to respect them.
Never imitate the religious, who spend hours weeping before images due to the fact they do not have the assurance of those who are in Christ. Now, he who has been delivered by the Son is truly free, and accepting Christ is a simple decision that radically changes the future of those who make it. If you are in Him, there will be no hindrance for you to partake in all the things that the God of love and peace has prepared for you.
By being reconciled, we are entitled to enjoy all that the Lord did in His death and resurrection and we can worship him in the beauty of His holiness (Psalm 29:2). Moreover, with God, we are able to face the enemy and conquer evil every time it rises up against us. Given these prerogatives, the best decision to be made is to receive Jesus as our Lord.
Christ’s blood, shed for us on the Calvary, cleansed us from all unrighteousness, so that now we are not guilty of what we did when we lived under the dominion of darkness. He nailed to the cross the handwriting of requirements that was against us (Colossians 2:4) and in this way He freed us from all bondage completely. Do not live in the uncertainty of tomorrow, but start to enjoy the heavenly peace right now. Believe that everything has been prepared and is waiting for you.
It has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but when the Lord is revealed we shall be like Him (I John 3:2). Many blessings are prepared for us, so be wise and do not miss any of them. If you still have not opened your heart to Jesus, why don’t you make the decision to receive Him as your Savior now? With this attitude, the empire of darkness will no longer dominate you.
