Bread gained by deceit is sweet to a man, but afterward his mouth will be filled with gravel.

Proverbs 20: 17

The Lord was not mistaken in saying to Adam that, with the sweat of his face, he would gain his daily bread. Being descendants of the first man that commandment also weighs upon us. Those who are going the easy way do not know what might be behind it. Being successful with one’s work is just like conceiving and growing a child. The adoptive or fostered parents only know the joy of the second bit.

Even God Himself works to take us to The Heavens and to keep us from the devil. In someone’s salvation we find a direct influence of our Father considering that nobody can turn to Jesus unless He brings them to Him. When we make the decision of accepting Christ, The Most High feels a sense of accomplishment because, then, He can see His work being rewarded. He would never bluff to take us out of the kingdom of darkness.

Do reject the bread of lie and do not accept anything that is costless to you. Put your faith in The Lord and even though you feel a lie should be told to conquer something you deem to belong to you, you must not tell any, whatever the case. Those who are used to going for deceitful means are allowing the devil to act in their lives. You had better lose everything, whenever necessary, rather than twisting the truth and going for treacherous means. What one achieves with lies may seem harmless now; yet, later on the price to be paid for that will be high.

Again, those things that are costless to you must not accept it. The children of God have to get disconnected from this world whose main motto is the end justifies the means. There is nothing good one can ever achieve with the assistance of the enemy. Therefore, you must reject all those things that are not perfectly clean or that have some evil trait in them. Having the devil operating in your life will be your doom.

Let us take a close look at those pastors who envy the prosperous members from another flock. That should never occur! What is the point of getting paid by the tenth part of someone else’s income which you did not work for? Even when it comes to accepting the membership from other churches’ people a pastor ought to previously have a word with them and check out what motivated them to change their ministry. If their reasons are vain he or she should instruct them into repentance and also into turning back to their original assemblies.

You must absolutely not accept anything with hidden truths because the devil is undoubtedly the one who is bringing you those offerings. Abraham could have become a wealthy man with the riches of Sodom and Gomorrah and of the surrounding towns, but he said that he had lifted up his hands to The God of Heavens, and for that reason, he would not let anybody say that He had made himself rich out of all that filth. Now, that is a good attitude to follow suit.

Suppose you had pebbles in your mouth, it would be awfully hard for you to eat them, wouldn’t it? Therefore, what is the point of having those barriers, spiritually speaking, preventing you from making progress? If they are in your mouth you will not be well fed with The Bread of Heavens and, for that reason, it turns out that you will not have any power to rebuke the devil the way you should, nor will you be able to take possession of your blessings.
