To accept people’s praises when we do good things is one of the worst things we could do. Not giving the Lord the glory for capacitating us is another mistake. If we thought things through, we would spend day and night praising God for being included in His original plan. Without Him we would never have been born and without salvation, who would we be?
The enemy knows our weakness. In order to take us away from divine presence, he makes us feel superior to others and better prepared than other people. When we believe these lies, we are dominated by evil. We need constant mercy so we won’t leave the Lord’s arms and fall into Satan’s claws. The Master’s orders are: Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation (Matthew 26:41). Never forget that!
By being humble and crediting our success to God’s love and help, we will be kept away from the devil’s reach. However, vanity, as well as lies that are said to take advantage in everything, lead many to fall. A simple negligence can put us under the action of the enemy. Allow the Lord to be your shield. That way you won’t be involved with evil and never be destroyed.
Be intentional against temptations; rebuke them firmly and in the name of the Lord so you will be freed from traps. Evil never goes away from those who appreciate its works. It is better to suffer in the hands of God, if that’s ever possible, than being enchanted by the “revelations” of the evil one. He is the worst of all; so take refuge in the heavenly Father.
Don’t fear driving away from your path those who want to lead you against the Word. These people were never your friends; they were sent by hell to lead you away from eternal life with Jesus and throw you into the lake of fire and sulfur. Be wise and abstain from every form of evil (1 Thessalonians 5:21,22), because God has a beautiful purpose for you and He will fulfill it.
Paul was intentional with the people in Lystra, including the high priest, who was crediting him and Barnabas for the healing of a man with crooked feet since birth, and saying they were gods. We should remain steadfast against the enemy’s attempts to lead us away from eternity. The devil uses methods that seem unbreakable, but the Almighty God will give us the necessary strength to overcome. May us be wise!
In order to flee from any false honor, use all the energy and capacity that’s is in your faith; before honor is humility (Proverbs 15:33). You are privileged for understanding the plans of heaven. Therefore, never allow yourself to be taken by discouragement, hatred or sin; that way you will be allowed to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. This is very serious, and God will provide a way out. Seek for the Truth that will certainly make you free.
In Christ, with love,

God! You covered the apostle Paul with a firm mind and character. He resisted the temptation of being considered a god. May we be connected to You so we won’t give in to the traps of hell.
Why would he receive the honor if he was nothing but Your servant? The same works of faith and disposition should be seen in all of Your children; we cannot accept the honor that will remove us from the position of servants. Thank You for the love You have given us!
We never want to trade being Your servants for Satan’s “promotions”, which some people accept. Give us the power to fulfill Your will without growing weary. Even in difficulty, we must never give in. To You be the glory, the honor and the praise!
