Therefore strengthen the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees… 

Hebrews 12:12

Although having communion with God is a great blessing to us, there are many people who are influenced by the devil’s lies and stop seeking the Lord. The enemy loves it when this happens, because then he can invade humans’ hearts and lead them to his traps. Why do people who have already proved the celestial gifts leave the Lord’s path to walk in darkness?

When we are saved, our first love captivates us, and that’s why we don’t measure efforts to dedicate ourselves to the Lord. However, as the days go by, the enemy convinces us to stop serving the Lord like we used to do. Some are distracted by money; others, by their own sin, and they get lost.

The problem is that instead of genuinely repenting, many become like the religious fanatics, who lost their holy ways and don’t relate to the Lord anymore. To say the truth, the worst spiritual blindness is amongst those who call themselves “historical Christians”; these are people who seem to be serving God, but are actually not following what’s written on the Scriptures. The devil is reigning in this case, no doubt.

It is necessary to consecrate ourselves and to have happy and lasting moments of prayer. Our soul must miss the days when we surrendered all we had to Him, and then we left full of energy to fulfill His will. When there’s no communion, sin gains space, and what was condemned before now is greatly appreciated as something licit. That’s why the devil is achieving success in the lives of many people.

It is necessary to raise our hands again – holy hands, without resentment, arguing or contamination. When we sin, we must confess our sin to the Lord and do our best not to fall in the hands of the enemy again. The Word of God promises that if we confess our sins, the Lord is faithful and just to forgive us and purify our injustice. (1 John 1:9) So if you sinned, confess it to the Lord and you’ll be forgiven.

Our knees become feeble when we don’t walk with the Lord. However, when we put the Word into practice, our joints are lubricated and connected again. Those who do nothing but the desires of the flesh are “out of shape”, and this will lead them to the same condition as the Hebrews who were mentioned in this verse. Thus, be wise! Now is the time to walk with God.

Those who are wise shall accept the divine recommendations. By the way, it is not only our soul that misses having communion with the Father; the Father also misses relating and connecting to us. In the book of the Song of Songs 5:16, God says that our voice is soft to His ears; therefore, He wants to hear our prayers.
