From the sole of the foot even to the head, There is no soundness in it, But wounds and bruises and putrefying sores; They have not been closed or bound up, Or soothed with ointment.. Isaiah 1:6

The diagnosis of the children of Israel, revealed by God to Isaiah, was not a good one. Because they sinned they attracted all kinds of evils. They forsook the Lord, revolted against His will and suffered from it. However, in the blindness of iniquity, they continued to make mistakes and were bitter about the consequences of this. Sacrifices no longer mattered to the Lord. It was necessary for them to stop doing evil, washing themselves off the filth of sin.

Those who are ashamed of God and His commandments will live in suffering in this time and in eternity (Mk 8.38; Lk 9.26). Therefore, it is impossible not to associate the degradation of today’s society with immorality. Many do not even know why they suffer, others just complain about their problems. What should you do to change this situation?

In the blood of Jesus, there is forgiveness, healing, refreshment, abundant life. To have access to Him, it is enough to repent and convert to the Christian faith. As long as he does not act in this way, the human being will be the property of the evil one, who only wants to kill, steal and destroy (Jn 10.10a). Sensuality, bribery, violence and misery are open wounds and keep growing. Only Christ, the living Word of God, can heal humanity. May we spread His Gospel to the world!

How many suffer from diseases considered incurable by Medicine. Others are affected by very rare diseases. The curse of cancer plagues entire families! Furthermore, the concerns of this world, the culture of excess and excessive pleasure have led many to drugs and physical and mental disorders. The Good News is that the Son of God took our pains upon Himself. Whoever accepts Him becomes part of the family of God and can take possession of his deliverance!

As they committed themselves to transgressions, wounds broke out among the Israelites in Judah and Jerusalem. God offered them ointment to heal their wounds, the balm of Gilead – a region known for producing excellent medicinal oils – but they rejected it. How many today also scoff at the love of Jesus, giving in to temptation?

An abyss calls another abyss! What will be your choice? Life or death? Even though God sent them prophets, Israel and Judah were enslaved by those who did not fear the Lord. If you are far from divine will, make your way back into His arms while there is time. If you have been called to prophesy, do not shut up! Declare that those around you will be converted, even if they do not hear your voice. Love is able to lead the greatest transgressor to the Lord’s forgiveness, covering his multitude of sins (1 Pet. 4.8).
