When a person meets the Lord and accepts Him as Savior, by repenting of their sins, they become a new creation(2 Corinthians 5:17). At that moment, they humble themselves by asking Him for forgiveness, they confess their mistakes and promise to walk in the light of the Word, doing God’s will (Psalm 119.105). If they keep this promise, walking in sincerity before the presence of the Omnipresent, they will be safe. You have to keep your promise to the Lord (Matthew 24:13).
Shortly before his death, at the age of 110, Joshua – Moses’ successor – gathered the people together and addressed them, saying: Now therefore fear the LORD, serve Him in sincerity and in truth, and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the River and in Egypt. Serve the LORD! (Joshua 24.14). After that, the leader sent everyone off to their own land (Joshua 24:28). Sincerity would give them the security they needed!
God asks His people to walk before Him in truth. Thus, the Lord said to Solomon when he had just built the temple: Now, if you walk before Me as your father David walked, in integrity of heart and in uprightness, to do according to all that I have commanded you, and if you keep My statutes and My judgments (1 Kings 9:4). Solomon had to walk as his father had walked!
The Most High didn’t ask the king to do anything difficult, only to act as He had commanded him. The Lord continued: Then I will establish the throne of your kingdom over Israel forever, as I promised David your father, saying: You shall not fail to have a man on the throne of Israel (1 Kings 9.5). Today, God is asking His children to keep the commandments and make a commitment to serve Him according to the biblical precepts. He will confirm His Word!
People like David serve as a reference point for new converts or older Christians. About him, God claimed to have found a man after His own heart (Acts 13:22). We have to recognize that Jesse’s son showed what it was like to be a successful servant. So, let’s do as the king did. The Almighty has other words for us, so we must watch our demeanor.
There’s no need to be vulnerable; after all, we can always be safe in Jesus. So, if we act with the same prudence as David, we will be examples to the people who hear about our attitudes. Remember: those who pervert their ways will not remain hidden, because their way of life will be revealed in their suffering!

Lord of our sincerity! We are nothing without You. So not to praise You for the works You have given us is to lie, and we will never do that. We want to improve the way we serve You, because You are all we need to glorify and love You!
Thank You for teaching us the best way to live and do Your will. With this, we can spend our days without giving way to the devil. We will be happy and ready to do Your work wherever You send us. We are Your servants.
We ask for mercy for those who pervert their ways and try to change the nature with which they came into the world, thus, giving room for the kingdom of darkness to operate on Earth, where the evil one has been defeated forever. We don't want to be irresponsible, but Your sincere children!
