19/02/2016 - SAY YES TO THE DIVINE ORDER

 Then David said to Saul, “Let no man’s heart fail because of him; your servant will go and fight with this Philistine.” 1 Samuel 17:32

When you accepted the Gospel, you were welcomed into the family of God, and because of this act, you were given power to become His son. The proof that you reached this blessing is in the fact that you are guided by the Holy Spirit. That is why, you must wait to be guided by Him, and wherever you are, be certain that there is a holy purpose for you in that place. The Lord wants to use you in His work. 

David knew he was in the right place at the time planned by the Lord; likewise, you must always believe that God did not forget anything; on the contrary, He is preparing you to face any challenge. Therefore, never fear before the threats of the enemy or back down because of the pressure during battle. Don’t let the Lord to be saddened with you. 

The Israelites trembled before the giant philistine, except David. Those that are loved by the Almighty must not accept the option of running away from battles; however, they must have the best attitude that the Lord expects from His children: accept the mission and win, bringing glories to the Name of the Father. Now, He will always go ahead of those who trust Him, to lead them in triumph, opening doors and defeating the enemy. Continue steadfast in the faith. 

Even if older brethren in Christ, known as more experienced, try to deviate you from what the Lord said to your heart, do not accept it. Trust in the power of the Name of Jesus, enter into battle and remove the opprobrium amongst the chosen people. If you are not a lazy Christian, someone who lives in error and always pretends to be holy, you are pleasing the Lord in all things. So, enjoy the opportunities that come to you. 

Your permanence in faith will make of you victorious. The most correct statement will have you say that no uncircumcised will demoralize God´s people. We only have one message to give to those He sends us to: the Good News. Who does the devil think he is to take away the pleasure from those called by the Lord to serve Him? Therefore, fulfill with all your strength the calling you received.  

By David´s answer, it is very clear that he was not irresponsible; he was not someone who didn’t consecrate himself to fulfill the divine will when it was revealed to him. Before that threat, he opened his mouth with responsibility, bringing hope to the Israelites. Although he was young, he accepted the mission and accomplished it with excellence. God has already equipped you to defeat the enemy wherever he is doing his evil work. 

If you live in the presence of the Most High, than you know what He commanded you to do. So, in a firm attitude, don’t back down, even if everything is going against you. You know you will succeed, for His Name in your mouth will never fail. Will you say you were not capable of doing what He ordered you to do?
