O LORD, You have searched me and known me.

Psalm 139:1

God is so powerful that, just by looking at us, He knows everything that is going on with us. The psalmist says that He searched him. If that happened to him you may be certain that that will happen to each one of us as well. Now, what would He find out in you if He made the decision to look into your deepest inner being? If you are not certain that He would find good feelings in you, you better take care because there will come a day in which we will all be accountable for even the slightest intentions of our hearts. So, if we are honest with The Lord that searching will be a blessing and, as He finds out something unpleasant in us, out of love, He will assist us to be delivered from all our filthy things. The truth is that The Most High searches us in order to improve our lives.

Now, look to that psalmist’s statement from another point of view. If God can read our thoughts and if He can find out our desires, do you think He cannot see what is wrong in our health? Of course He does. So, we need to ask Him to always search us, and also for His pure and precious eyes never to be withdrawn from upon us. As we do so, we will be able to please The Lord at all times. On our own, we will never be able to be delivered from temptations and weaknesses because without the divine assistance, however man can strive, he does not have the necessary strength to overcome the flesh and its transgressions.

If a Christian is certain that nothing is concealed in the eyes of the Most High, they will not keep any of their errors hidden. On the contrary, they will confess them in order to be forgiven. In the hands of The Omnipotent we will be able to change our attitudes; yet, if we are away from His will we will always be falling. Therefore, do not pretend to be a Christian, but yes, be a dedicated servant of God. The error most people make is not getting fully involved with our Eternal Father for He loves us and He can transform our lives and mould us in line with His will.

The Lord knows our physical structure and, being Omniscient, He knows what is hindering our health and the other areas of our lives. Precisely for that He is The One who can deliver us from the traps set up for us by the powers of darkness. Thus, if we submit ourselves to the Everlasting Word of God we will never be deceived by our enemy. Standing firm in the promises of The Most Powerful One makes us free from the influences and the capacity of the deceiver to entangle us into his tricks.

Another thing that should be taken into account is that God is The Only One that can truly help us. Firstly because He is love (I John 4: 8) and secondly because we are members of His Body (I Corinthians 12: 12, 13); bearing that in mind, I must say that He will never allow the enemy to oppress those who trust in Him. In addition to that, since we belong to The Most High, we can rest safely and we are covered up with the power from Above to undo all attempts of the devil to harm us.

Therefore, never hide anything from The Lord. If you are being tempted to commit any sin, you must tell Him straight away everything about it because, as you do so, He will be able to show you the way out. Yet, if you sin you will be going away from the divine presence and, thus, the enemy will resume oppressing you.
