“A man who is in honour, yet does not understand, is like the beasts that perish.” (Psalm 49:20)

There is not even one sole person in the world that hasn’t been included in the Lord’s plan; after all, He loves mankind and always reveals Himself to us in the same way. The preaching of the Gospel is God speaking of the eternal life to each one of us as well as about His will for our lives. That is why hearing about the glorious message of the cross is the greatest opportunity we have to understand the divine plan and to get to know the Most High. When He calls one of His children to go out and tell the lost about His plan of salvation He is giving that servant the noblest mission that a human being can be assigned with.

Failure to heed the Lord – besides being sheer foolishness – causes great harm. On the other hand, the reward of those who fulfil God’s purpose will be so immense that Prophet Daniel stated that he who is obedient is wise and will shine like the stars forever and ever (Daniel 12:3). However, those who despise the divine calling will have to account for their rebelliousness one day and then they will realize the great harm they did to others and to themselves.

It is God who endows us with the capacities we have and He does that with a specific purpose: For us to fulfil His mission. It is not wise to use the talents entrusted to us to gather riches and to live an egoistical life. Life here on Earth is too short, so what is the use of receiving men’s applause? We will live forever if we do what the Lord has established; but, if we do our will our destiny will be hell.

I want all the things God has prepared for me and become the person He planned for me to be. These two statements should come from the lips of the saved. Why settle for just a little? If someone gains all the gold of this world, he will have attained less than a servant of God achieves by managing to take a soul at the feet of Christ Jesus.

Those who are applauded by men as heroes, champions and well- doers but have no understanding can be compared to an animal that dies and will not be remembered by anyone, neither in this world nor in eternity.

It is good to fulfil the purpose the Father has for your life because in this way you will stand out and will be prepared for eternity. However simple your mission among men might be considered, its nobility is great because it was assigned to you by the Creator of the Heavens and of the whole Universe. Be smart and fully trust in the eternal God that has loved you, brought you to life and given you the mission which will turn out to be an everlasting benefit for you. Gather treasures for the eternal life by making others know The Truth!

In Christ, with love,
