But He needed to go through Samaria. John 4:4

One of the missions of the other Comforter that the Father would send in His Name and is already in our midst is to guide us in all Truth – the Word.  This happens in a direct or indirect manner. Whoever does not practice being sensitive to the Spirit loses numerous opportunities and not noticing that they blocked the Holy Spirit from acting, they will say to the Lord that they don’t understand why He never led them to do great things for His work.

Jesus felt that He should go through Samaria so He changed his course to comply with the will of the Father.  In the town of Sychar, near Jacob’s well, he met a Samaritan woman who needed his ministering.  Consequently not only she was saved but the entire town was also. There is always a purpose in what God inclines us to do.  No matter how much time, money and effort we have to spend it is well worth obeying.

During my ministry dozens of time, I felt the Lord’s bidding for me to do or not to do something and later on that turned out to be beneficial to the mission and to me.  Truly only in Heaven will I be made fully aware of the harmful things which the Lord spared me from or of the good things which He led me to participate.  As I answered His knock to the door of my heart He entered in and ate with me.  Every work done in Him gives fruit.

If Joseph who was betrothed to Mary had not heard the celestial call he would have lost the chance to create the Savior of the world, which no doubt made him to be very blessed.  Certainly after two thousand years, we see it was well worth it for Joseph to have obeyed the call of the Lord by going to Egypt when Herod wanted to kill The One who was sent to redeem us.  Be ready to collaborate with the fulfillment of the divine plan!

Likewise, if Paul had not gone to Macedonia, the Gospel would have been delayed in reaching Europe. (Acts 16:9-40)  If Elijah, one of the residents of Gilead and reputed prophet had not heeded the Lord, rebuking the perverse Ahab, the separated for God might have offered cult to Baal among the descendants of Abraham which certainly would have destroyed them.

Mordechai was sensitive to be seated at the gates of the palace of the king of Persia, Ahasuerus and revealed the plot of two eunuchs that was to kill the king.  Later the king, reading the royal records, remembered him and learned that no reward had been offered for the loyalty that had been shown.  Consequently he decided to do justice to him.  Later on, being sensitive and responsive to God’s command, he was made an instrument for deliverance from destruction of his people.

You don’t know what the Lord has prepared to do through your life. However you should pay attention to what He says, for you will pass through situations where God will use you for His glory.  Be ready and alert for the day of His visitation.  If you are careless you will be sorry when the judgment day comes.  Don’t exchange the divine mission for anything the devil may offer.  God truly loves you!
