Complete change! We left the worst slavery possible – to the kingdom of darkness, whose boss is Satan – and we joined the kingdom of heaven, whose boss, owner and leader is our Lord almighty. He is love and does nothing but good. We couldn’t be in a better situation, because even though we still live in this evil world, we are protected from all evil attacks. May we make the most of every opportunity we get!
After we were set free, we’ve conquered a privileged position: to go into all the world and preach the gospel to all who are in pain and suffering (Mark 16:15). The fact that today we are servants of justice means that God is behind every mission He gives us; He longs to set the oppressed free from the actions of hell, which turn them into evil puppets.
Those who have been saved are now lords over their oppressors. They are enabled to undo all the works of evil and to break every chain that binds people to Satan’s terrible tyranny. Nothing and no one can stop us from doing good. We just need to understand the Father’s guidance and those who are suffering will be set free from misfortunes. In order to fulfill the order from heaven, using the invincible name of Jesus, we have the power of God.
The Lord’s righteousness is amazing, because it demonstrates God’s insuperable action. God programmed our participation in His work, but He warns us to reject all evil that is still within us: Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls (James 1:21). Those who serve God must be just like Him: holy (1 Peter 1:16)!
But there is a detail of this revelation in verse 17: But God be thanked that though you were slaves of sin, yet you obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine to which you were delivered – the biblical one. Every doctrine that is based in the Scriptures is pure and without any contamination. This proves that it will never go against any precepts of this holy book. When something goes against a biblical declaration, it doesn’t come from the Lord, because He is perfect!
The Most High would never teach us anything that’s dirty or wrong, after all: Every word of God is pure; He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him (Proverbs 30:5). The Lord longs for us to take hold of what we learn when we examine His Word. On judgement day we will be held responsible for it. Therefore, obey as a servant does and execute orders from heaven.
Live as a servant of the Lord’s righteousness, refusing to act in a sinful way, even though it all might seem like “simple temptations” in your mind. When you obey God, do it with all your heart. Those who practice righteousness in a partial way are acting under the influence of evil. May you never be found under the devil’s command! True servants honor divine righteousness at all times, because it is God Himself doing good!
In Christ, with love,

God, our Commander! You gave us biblical doctrine and the most important work to be done: to apply the truth in every situation. Therefore, nothing can resist us or stop us from doing good to those who are in need.
We can’t fail! Our submission to Your teachings shows how much we are committed to You and no one can ever stop us from announcing Your Word to the lost.
We must be vigilant and pray so we won’t fall into temptation. Therefore, we supplicate for Your grace and goodness because our flesh is being tempted by the devil, who wants to see us standing away from You. Lord, our goal is to serve You with all of our hearts!
