“He devises wickedness on his bed; he sets himself in a way that is not good; he does not abhor evil.” (Psalm 36:4)
There’s nothing more saddening to see in God’s house than those people who sell themselves to demons. He who loses fear of the Lord is capable of doing anything. Some get to the point of being beyond recovery. My brethren, temptation comes over everyone and that’s the reason why we have to watch out and pray in order not to be carried away by the enemy’s deceitful talk. The wicked take pleasure in seeing the servants of God stumbling so whenever they can they’ll contribute to that.
Paying respect to the Word of God is a very healthy thing to do. It doesn’t matter if the Lord has appointed you to a position lower than that of our brothers; what really matters is to make sure that the position we’re assuming was given by Him. Worldly people classify others by their social status, but such thing cannot happen in the work of God. Everybody must be honored for being children of God regardless of the mission assigned to them.
Those who say “yes” to ungodliness always make mistakes and can’t even notice that they’re drifting away from The Light and heading straight towards darkness. They forget there’ll come a day when they’ll all be judged for their wrongdoings. Instead of seeking forgiveness and reconciliation from the Lord, they let themselves be carried away by the evil one.
Not abhorring evil is one of the errors committed by some children of God. Those who don’t obey the Lord regarding this issue have made the worst choice of all. We must be attached to the Lord in order to upset the enemy. Now, the opposite is also true: if we don’t abhor evil, we upset our Father. If we heed the enemy’s threats we sadden our God.
As children of the Light we cannot have anything to do with whatever comes from darkness. If we do that, we’ll be provoking
the Lord to anger. A servant of God must never be associated with anything wrong. In fact, Christians are like fish out of water when they mingle with sinners. The truth is that the Spirit of God that dwells in us makes us feel awkward in places where deceit reigns. We can only feel well where the Holy Spirit is present.
When the Sunamite saw prophet Elisha walk past her house, she was convinced that he was, in fact, a man of God. Even the footsteps of those who serve the Lord are different from those of the people whose don’t serve Him. The fullness the Holy Spirit, the way we look, our body language, the way we walk and the way we speak demonstrate who really dwells in us. A servant of God stands out by his or her behavior!
In Christ, with love,
