“Wait on the LORD, and keep His way, and He shall exalt you to inherit the land; when the wicked are cut off, you shall see it.” (Psalm 37:34)
We’re instructed to wait on the Lord, which means that when a word is revealed to us we must take possession of its announcement, its promise, and pray to our Father to thank Him and, at the same time, to ordain its fulfilment. So, if it isn’t promptly fulfilled, we have to wait on God till its result is manifested. If the divine answer is delayed we should not declare that the blessing isn’t for us and neither should we give up on our promise either. Waiting on the Lord is trusting that He’ll confirm His promise.
The revelation we’re given by our Father is the way we must tread in order to take possession of our blessings. We must keep it in mind and in high regard so that it’ll always be opened to us. Whenever we need to enter the divine presence, whether during day or night, we can go through that road. The ungodly will never go through it since that way, opened by the Lord, is holy.
Before inheriting the Promised Land we must be exalted. Such exaltation begins with the forgiveness of our sins, deliverance from the temptations that have exercised influence over our lives, the purification of our souls and the anointing from Above which takes place through the baptism of the Holy Spirit. In other words, we’re born again, which means that there’s nothing else that can separate us from God and that the authority of the devil over us is gone. When that happens we’re exalted before the Heavenly powers and we overcome the enemy’s power which enslaved us. Then we can inherit the Promised Land. My brethren, all promises will be fulfilled to the fullest in the lives of those who let themselves be guided by the Lord.
The Christian’s Promised Land is spiritual. It’s the true Land flowing with milk and honey where we’re in command. That land is constituted of the wonderful promises of God and of the rights we have in Christ, which has been given to all servants of the Lord.
After having been exalted by the Most High we can take possession of all the promises.
When all sinful thoughts are pulled out of your mind and your heart is completely dominated by the presence of the Lord, you’ll see that He wasn’t kidding or lying when He promised we’d be put into His world of blessings. What really prevents many people from being happy and prosperous in the Gospel is listening to deceitful spirits that make them believe in things that were not promised by our Father. He didn’t say He’d kill your spouse for you to get married to another person who you deem to be the ideal one for your happiness; God promised to save you and your household (Acts 16:31).
In Christ, with love,
