And you have forgotten the exhortation which speaks to you as to sons: “My son, do not despise the chastening of the Lord, nor be discouraged when you are rebuked by Him;” Hebrews 12:5

Never forget the encouraging words you’ve heard from the Most High. Their mission is to make you understand the good will of God and to protect you wherever you go. The worst thing anyone can do is to not pay attention to the Lord. By doing that, the Lord will stop speaking to them and they won’t hear the messages from heaven anymore.

To refuse the Lord’s reprehensions can put you in a bad situation. You are a Son of God, and He holds you with very high esteem. Just as children obey the instructions of their earthly father, we should never despise our heavenly Father, who traced a plan for us in this world and for all of eternity. He is Omniscient – He knows everything!

All we need to know is that the Lord calls us His sons. Therefore, if we are wise, we’ll take His word as final. There is no greater title than this! Scriptures are fulfilled when you believe and act according to them. The position of a son gives you the assurance that you will be heard when you pray and that you will be protected from the enemy’s arrows. Declare: “I am a son of God!”

Why despise the Most High, who calls you His son? This is an evidence that He loves you very much. To be exhorted by God, the Lord of lords, means to be treated as His heir and as co-heir with Jesus (Hebrews 12:7-11); Romans 8:17). It is a great privilege to be called His son. What else do you need? Unfortunately, the people suffer because of lack of knowledge (Hosea 4:6).

Never say: “I’m devastated with what the Lord said about my behavior.” He surely saw something in your life that will cause you to stumble and He doesn’t want it to happen. The promises in the Holy Scriptures speak about you, and you should thank the Father for knowing them. Now, take possession! As a son of God, your position before the celestial throne is great!

If God reproved your attitudes, which you thought to be good and perfect, turn to Him in prayer, ask for understanding and make things right. Without a doubt, He will come to your assistance. Then, be grateful to the Lord and consider the work done. He warns you to live in a correct way and become more than an overcomer. God is always faithful!

Believe that the Most High loves you and will fulfill each and every biblical declaration about who you are in Christ (Romans 8:37-39). Don’t be overcome by the devil, but defeat him now. Your life is guarded by the Lord, your Father!
