Planning what to say is an attitude of people who do not know the God they serve. He is jealous of us (James 4.5). Besides, one of the missions of the Holy Spirit is to give us what to say in times of trial. According to Jesus, the Comforter will teach us the words in front of an authority, and will certainly also help us to make decisions capable of solving difficulties (Luke 12.11,23). He will tell us what He has heard (John 16.13).

The man out of fellowship with the Most High is on his own. He sees what he shouldn´t, thinks only what God calls vanity, and acts like a fool in a minefield. Thus, the Master taught: Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.  (Matthew 16.24). Samuel thought that the Lord would honor the word that came out of him, but it did not happen (1 Samuel 16.6). Follow the biblical guidelines!

Being a servant, one should not worry about planning his life, but look for God’s purpose in the Scriptures (Romans 12.1,2). Now, because He has foreknowledge and loves us, He has placed in the Holy Book the guidance and counsels to do what is necessary for our present and future well-being (Psalms 119.105). To fail to examine what He has put in the Bible is to rebel against His purposes. The rebellious will be disciplined! (1 Samuel 15.23).

What is important for us and people living anywhere on Earth is what the Lord has prepared. The inclination of the flesh is death, but if we bow to what the Spirit says, we will have life and peace:  For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace (Romans 8.6). We must allow the Comforter to lead us. This way, we will have life and a solution to our problems.

When we use human arguments, the Lord cannot use them, nor let His wonderful power work in our favor, fulfilling what we assume. But every time His servants are used by His Spirit, they will be led in triumph: Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place  (2 Corinthians 2.14). Speak the Word!

Jacob wanted to pull his brother’s understanding back to the things of the world, to the time when he submitted to Laban, because of his uncle’s wickedness in changing his wages tenfold. However, what changes the heart is the inspired Word, the prophecy that comes out of God’s mouth, which will not return empty: So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it (Isaiah 55.11). Amen!

In the spiritual fight – the real battle – we cannot use human arguments, but rather, what God makes us understand in the Word. So take note of the understandings that are revealed to you, for each one is an indestructible weapon that God wants you to use. We love Him by having and keeping the commandments (John 14.21)!
