You therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.

II Timothy 2: 1

With the sin committed by Adam Satan’s very essence got into the world and began reigning over all people. So, only those who strived to fulfil everything that The Divine Law required managed to be successful in the spiritual life. Therefore, those who became servants of The Most High left the dominion of the devil. Yet, none of them had direct access to The Creator nor were they completely delivered from the enemy’s oppression (refer to Hebrews 10: 1 – 10).

That lasted till The Lord sent His Grace to the world which took place with the first coming of Jesus. The Son of God brought Grace and Truth (John 1: 17) and as He died on The Calvary He got rid of Satan Himself – who had dominion over death. From that point on all those who accepted His sacrifice by receiving Him as their Lord and Saviour of their lives would be delivered from the empire of darkness and taken into the Kingdom of The Son of His love (Colossians 1: 13).

Once the sacrificial work on the cross was perpetrated, the grace of God began ruling but the Law was totally fulfilled by our Saviour. Today, for humans to enjoy all that they only have to decide to receive Jesus as the Lord of their life and they must also do the will of God revealed through The Word straight into the heart of each one of us. Those who follow suit leave the devil’s captivity and become free citizens of The Heavenly Kingdom.

Grace is much more than an undeserved favour; it’s the very move of the Holy and Mighty God on mankind’s behalf. Those who despise IT can never be delivered from the devil; on the other hand, those who accept IT ends up experiencing the divine favour indeed. The Most High operates in order to perform healing, to provide prosperity, to free and save those people who surrender to Him, those who believe in His promises. He has done everything for us to live in His presence.

Paul shows a great deal of tenderness towards Timothy, the young preacher, as he calls him son. Due to his reaching the Divine Grace under his ministry, Timothy was like an heir to the apostle. After all, those who get near God through us become partakers of the same grace we attained in our calling to participate in the very essence and the blessings of The Lord.

Those who were benefited by such blessed work mustn’t stop progressing but rather be strengthened by and in The Grace. Those who, once converted, do nothing to reach new levels of faith won’t be able to enjoy all those riches The Eternal God has in store for His children. All occurrences in the natural realm produce some types of resonance in the spiritual as well. We’re born as defenceless babies but with the potential of becoming strong grown-ups. Once we’re strengthened we’ll be able to reach such position.

Grace cannot be achieved anyway, anytime but only by The Person of Christ. If we receive Him as our Saviour and if we keep Him as such we’ll become partakers of The Grace of God and we’ll also get to know what The Scriptures say about our identity in Him. Those who fulfil what they’re commanded can experience the move of God and, when that happens, they can do all things in Christ.

In Christ, with love,
