There never was and never will be deception in the Word. So, when Jesus states that people He set free will remain free – that is the most absolute truth. However, if your life is not like that, seek the Lord’s guidance. Remember: there is no curse without a cause (Proverbs 26:2). Sometimes we think that the Lord has failed, but that will never happen. In Him, there is confirmation of what belongs to us. A sincere prayer can solve all your issues. Be vigilant!
We can base ourselves only on God’s statements, as well as on His warnings. However, if we practice such prohibitions, we will nullify the Lord´s promises. The organization in the Kingdom of Heaven follows Jesus’ Word, and in His earthly ministry, His command ruled. Before the multiplication of the loaves and fishes, for example, He ordered the disciples to feed the multitude. Soon they distributed the food to five thousand men, plus women and children (Matthew 14:17-21). Believe and see the glory!
Isaiah said that God’s people would be taken captive. Why did he say this, since there were statements from the Lord, given by Himself, that Israel would eat and drink the best of the land? (Isaiah 1:19). Well, that situation would only occur if they abandoned His Word (v. 20). Believe it or not, we still have issues which hinder the action of the Most High in us (Isaiah 59:1,2). Now, that which has been said must be obeyed for the Father to be glorified in the Son. Pray!
Lack of understanding leads us back to the enemy´s feet, who will treat us mercilessly, according to his wicked heart. By understanding who you are in Christ, what belongs to you, and how to do the work, you will become a blessing. Get your life right with Him and you will see how much you have missed out on by choosing to walk away from the Master!
The nobles were expected to rebuke those who went astray and followed the doctrines of demons. However, that didn’t happen; they contributed to their own captivity and that of the people. By not heeding God’s counsel from the beginning, they were deprived of the Bread, they would not even hunger for the Food from Heaven. Whoever does not feed himself on the Manna, gathered from the pages of the Bible, becomes weak and cannot reverse his deplorable condition.
Why is the multitude of the saved drying up with thirst? The answer is obvious. Whoever does not feed on the Bread of Life, nor drinks of the heavenly water – the revelation of the Word – ceases to thirst for the Truth as the days go by. We can never blame God, because the truth is that we have not heeded Christ’s warning: Then He said to them, “Why do you sleep? Rise and pray, lest you enter into temptation” (Luke 22:46).
The remedy was to go back to repentance, but Judah rejected this. Although Jeremiah did all he could to warn the Israelites – they continued in their sinful life after the warnings of the prophets. Jeremiah added more wrath upon them, for they put him in the dungeon (Jeremiah 37:15). Since they failed to return to the Lord, they marched off into captivity!

God, our Bread and our Water! We want to feed on You, drink from Your Word, and give You Lordship over our lives. But unfortunately, like Judah, we have forsaken our homework. May You forgive us and help us come back to You!
The people of Judah acted o foolishly! Even though they knew that You were their Help, they didn't look for You, and they still rebelled against the man You used and cared for. We cannot be like them, but obedient servants. Help us!
They were taken captive simply because they rejected the understanding that was their chance to escape shame and misery. Many are just like the people of those days, so we ask for mercy, lest they be lost in error!
and Serug lived after he begat Nahor two hundred years, and begat sons and daughters.
