“Blessed is the man whose strength is in You, whose heart is set on pilgrimage. As they pass through the Valley of Baca, they make it a spring; the rain also covers it with pools.” (Psalm 84:5-6)
The Most High endowed us with a very strong inner power – but to a lesser degree than that of the angels – which increases along with the size of the faith given to us by the Lord. It is in our spirit that such power dwells because we were made in the image and likeness of God. If it is put in the Lord, we will be very successful; but if we show ourselves weak in the day of anguish, it will be small. Gideon’s power, for instance, was strong enough to defeat all the Midianites that were destroying and putting Israel to shame.
Do not put your strength in sin or in the hands of evil spirits. You must know that those who get involved with witchcraft or any other practice contrary to the Word of God will be strengthened but will destroy themselves in the end. On the other hand, in a service where the Bible is being preached there is no involvement with evil spirits.
Putting your power in God is about believing in His Word. When you put it in negative things the devil is strengthened and he uses that same capacity to oppress you. However, the only thing that he must get from you is your determination in burning him with the divine fire from his head down to his toes.
With Adam’s sin the plans God made for men were completely frustrated. Today even the best of all humans makes many mistakes during his or her earthly journey. And no matter how hard a non believer strives, it is impossible for him/her not to transgress. Now, those who are born again have their hearts set on pilgrimage and as long as they do not get distracted, they will have a future of peace and quietness.
He who serves God is a blesser and his journey is always marked by success because he has the Most High accompanying him anywhere He wants. That is the reason we must never ask why the Almighty is sending us to a specific place or giving us a certain mission. When a believer is gone, people miss them and their behavior is imitated by many. If the Lord takes you to a dry valley, the servant of the Most High turns it into a water spring; if the water is bad, he acts just like Elisha who cast salt in it and it became drinkable (II Kings 2:19–22).
Those who obey the Lord know that the rains belong to God and for that reason they do not waste them. The Most High feels pleasure in them and therefore everything they ask is granted to them; if they knock on the door, it will be opened to them; when they seek something God helps them find it. Besides, they channel everything that the Almighty God gives them when He pays them a visit so that other people can drink from the holy revelation as well. Finally, the good pleasure of the Lord is always accomplished through their hands. My brother, if you also want to do our Father’s will, you must enjoy the advantages of trusting in Him.
In Christ, with love,
R. R. Soares
