\”He who keeps the commandment keeps his soul, but he who is careless of his ways will die.” (Proverbs 19:16)

God endowed us with free will for us to do good deeds, not evil deeds. That is the reason why all our decisions must be made in the light of the revelation of the Word of God otherwise we will be wasting our time. When we take a stand contrary to the precepts of our Father we give the enemy a foothold and the result is that deep calls unto deep (Psalm 42:7). Therefore, if we do not repent, with time we will pay a high price. Examine yourself to see if there is something wrong you did you have not repented of. Then, ask the Lord for forgiveness so that the breaches in your life can be closed and the enemy will be unable to find any reason to torment you.

We must do everything in the Name of Jesus; even keeping the commandments of the Lord is something that must be done in His Name. It is pointless to say that you will not commit adultery, steal and bear false witness, etc., if you do not do so in the Name of Jesus. Try to use that Holy Name against the temptations that have been seducing you and you will see that they will be unable to resist and will eventually vanish. This Name works anytime.

Keeping God’s commandments will turn you into a privileged person because your reward will be immense. That works in this life as well as when we depart towards the Heavens. As we accomplish the task we have been assigned we will have God operating in our favor. He fulfils His promises in the lives of those who are obedient to His precepts. Those who truly love the Lord – and by that I mean keeping His commandments earnestly – have the divine love operating in their benefit (Romans 8:28; Psalm 91:14). We can only overcome when we do what our Father tells us to do.

The paths we are to walk on are like openings granted to us by God in His Word. Those who despise them will die, just like what happened to Adam when he sinned in the Garden of Eden (I Corinthians 15:22) He continued to live physically but could not get in touch with his Creator any longer. Many people in our churches cannot relate to the Lord anymore and for this reason they “vegetate” in their faith.

Dear reader, be smart and do not despise what God is telling you to do. He would never tell us to do anything that would not be utterly important. Do not despise what the Lord is giving you; otherwise you will become vulnerable to the enemy’s attacks because if you stray from the Lord, the devil will take the chance to assault you. In so doing you will not only avoid spiritual death but also suffering and even your physical death.

In Christ, with love,
