As for me, I will see Your face in righteousness; I shall be satisfied when I awake in Your likeness.

Psalm 17:15

The servants of God cherish the hope that the day of reckoning – the Judgment – will be glorious. On the other hand, those who do not bow before the Lord, live in sin and have not had their souls cleansed of evil deeds are horrified and frightened at the mere thought of what will happen to them after death. The saddest thing is that they do not \”open their eyes\” to seek divine help. Today, all the lost ones can solve their situation by simply acknowledging their wrongdoings and repenting. Those who do so receive salvation.

However, for those who do not have Jesus it is not easy to repent of sins and obtain forgiveness because a demonic power overwhelms them and fights tooth and nail in order to not let go of their \”prey\”. But when someone makes a decision for Christ and enters the kingdom of God, he or she begins to see how foolish he or she was before. It is not wise to postpone the most important fact of life because when the time of your death arrives and you are under sin, you will leave without salvation and will remain so forever. Therefore, those who do not want to convert are not only fools, but fools who despise wisdom and who mock at sin, of which they are servants.

Those who give their life over to Jesus are saved by the righteousness of God and from then on they can count on the divine holy action in their life. In fact, they become the very righteousness of God (II Corinthians 5:21). With salvation, their \”record\” is cleaned and then they can make the wise decision of not bowing to evil forces any longer. The righteousness that the Lord gives enables them to keep their head held up, without any condemnation.

One day we will all die. Upon waking on the \”other side\”, who will you look like? The righteous will be like the Lord, the wicked will have the image of the one they served and obeyed – the devil. I would do anything so as not to look like Satan or be on his \”group\”. What really interests me is to belong to Jesus and be in His likeness. Some awake to everlasting life, others to everlasting shame (Daniel 12:2). So why not convert now?

What goes in your heart when you hear of the Final Judgment? Your earthly life will not last forever, and when the great day arrives, you will meet with the Judge of the living and the dead. Faced with this certainty, what will be your fate? What will happen? Give yourself to Jesus while there is still time and in so doing you will live without any fear of a possible eternal suffering.

On that day the Lord Jesus will judge according to His righteous justice. There will be no mercy, for God\’s justice will not favor those who did not practice it here on Earth. This is the time to get the Lord\’s forgiveness and salvation.

In Christ with Love,

R. R. Soares
