Now when they began to sing and to praise, the LORD set ambushes against the people of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir, who had come against Judah; and they were defeated.

II Chronicles 20: 22

There is no better way to battle except for fulfilling the directions God gives us. The Lord, with His mysterious ways to operate, is always ready to go to war and to assist us. He knows very well what attitude to take in order to put an end to harassment and make the persecutors be scared to death and, this way, they will end up beating retreat. Having The Holy Word with us, we can rest, considering that The Almighty will make sure IT will be fulfilled even though Heaven and earth will pass away (Matthew 24: 35).

As king Jehoshaphat heard of a multitude coming from overseas and from Syria which was already striding impetuously towards him, he proclaimed a fasting all over the kingdom of Judah and the whole nation got together to urge The Most High for help. The king led the people in prayer so they opened up their heart and then confessed their trust in The One who was always The Great Support of the people of God, and The Lord heard their outcry (II Chronicles 20: 1- 17).

How good it would be if that occurred to all those families assaulted by the enemy! Yet, since it is, at times, too hard to gather up all their members for that particular purpose, those who are assaulted ought to remember that The Church ITSELF is indeed their true family. Just like Jesus said, those who do the will of God are His mother, brothers and sisters (Matthew 12: 50). If you do not have in your home anybody who could help you out in prayer, you can turn to us. We will undoubtedly join you to be your support.

Jehoshaphat knew that, without the divine assistance, it would have been awfully hard to face up that multitude of adversaries – and, even though he was humanly fit for that, many of his beloved ones would have lost their lives otherwise. The natural process of any struggle is very painful, but when The Lord operates the work is done with such expertise that, for instance, the sick happens to feel no pain and, apart from such blessing, which is already quite an achievement, their healing is carried out to perfection with no side effects at all.

The king prayed over what God had promised him. That is the kind of prayer that leads men into being answered. Those who say a prayer according to their minds and not according to the declarations of The Word cannot manage to get to The Lord. Only those who take the Only Way – Jesus, The Word of God – manage to reach out to our Father.

God sent to that people prophet Jahaziel who said that Judah should not fear since that battle belonged to The Lord. The secret is making your battles The Lord’s. Be stripped of all sin, change your plans for God’s and pray over everything The Bible says regarding what is going on in your life now. Then, you must believe in the divine answer which is only based on The Word of God. If the Most High takes your struggle as though it was His you will then have victory assured.

Jehoshaphat believed in Jahaziel’s prophecy so then he prepared his people to praise God according to the directions of that prophet. Then, the moment they began singing and giving praise, The Almighty set up ambushes against the crowds of enemies who ended up being altogether defeated.
