Poverty and shame will come to him who disdains correction, but he who regards a rebuke will be honoured.

Proverbs 13: 18

The Bible is a spiritual Book and when IT goes about poverty IT is not only conveying lack of financial resources which is a continuous nuisance in many people’s lives. The worst state of poverty is when one has nothing of God in one’s heart. Those people who have no clue about their rights in Christ, whenever they find themselves being submitted to any attack of the devil, do not know what to do to get out of that dreadful situation.

The worst state of poverty is when someone does not have spiritual resources to face a hellish attack in their body, in their family and in all those things that belong to them. Regrettably, the devil reigns on the loose in many Christians’ lives today. Yet, those who know their stand in The Son of God know what to do for the enemy to run away from them.

How many Christians, as they are being assaulted by the devil, do not know what means to go for to destroy a hellish attack? They get desperate and, in doing so, some even get to the point of turning to the servants of the devil. Many even try to listen to a message, and then they even stand up as though they were victorious in prayer; yet, shortly afterwards, everything goes back to square one.

Those who reject correction are never wise considering that, for them, the necessary resources to face the curse against their lives or against that of some of their relatives that might come up just like that, out of nothing, will always lack. The correction is a Message sent by our Father and it is capable of doing whatever it takes to be effective. Yet, when someone rejects the instruction The Lord is sending them to come to terms with an issue, it turns out that they are actually rejecting the solution to it as well.

Whenever God admonishes us, He is conveying the message of His love towards us. We happen to be awfully short-sighted to realize that, behind a temptation, there is a passion or another evil element and, along with it, the prince of darkness is concealed. Therefore, do not despise any of the reprimands of The Lord considering that those who do it are letting themselves be carried away by the lie of the devil who, with it, manages to lure even the wise men into making the worst decisions in their lives themselves.

When The Most High speaks to you, through His divine Word, about any wrong decision you might be making, or the danger of mistakenly getting involved with someone or that of being carried away by filthy thoughts, you ought to promptly accept that wake up call. As He admonishes you, God is showing you that He loves you. If The Lord did not rebuke you that would mean He does not love you. Those who do not accept the divine reprimand are saying that they neither love God nor themselves.

Those who love our Father would never be keen to argue against Him, not even in the least. Why would a son of God try to prove to The One – who is The Owner of all wisdom – that this or that is not wrong if He is actually saying the opposite? If you do not want to live your life lacking financial resources and being submitted to offense you must never reject your correction. Be a wise and obedient child and God will be with you!
