Then they called Rebekah and said to her, “Will you go with this man?” And she said, “I will go.” Genesis 24.58

Faith is the result of a work that God has been developing for a long time, since before we were born. It makes us know that we are part of the work that the Lord is doing that will last for all eternity. The saved ones should think about this to manage to avoid sin by faith. It is unavoidable that scandals may come, but like Jesus said, woe to that man by whom the offense comes (Mt 18.7). Faith serves as a shield for us to be protected from mistakes.

Nothing happens in your life without purpose. In His wisdom, the Lord allows some events to happen, so that through them, you may be prepared to fulfill His wonderful plan. Therefore, never reject the lessons given by the Most High, and even if the trials are very difficult, remain steadfast. Otherwise, you will not be ready to perform the special mission that will be given to you. It is very important to remain holy, not committing yourself with the devil.

Abraham’s calling, just like yours, happened in the right moment. Only the Most High knows why He has called us to compose His family. Therefore, seek to know more of the Word, of the commandments and judgments of the Lord and seek to fulfill them. Whoever despises the holy orientation, will one day recognize that he did not behave properly. When this happens, it might be too late to make things right. Remember the foolish virgins that did not prepare themselves (Mt 25.1-13).

Sara was barren, for many things had to happen so that the heir of the promise could be born. On the other hand, the Most High gave a granddaughter, Rebekah, to Abraham’s brother, and the Lord kept her virgin for marriage (Gen 22.20-23). Let God preserve you in purity for the mission that He has prepared for you to execute. Then, when the right day comes, you will see how good it was not to surrender to the spirit of prostitution or of any other mistake.

In the moment that pleased God, He made Abraham send his servant to his relatives, in order to find a virgin woman to be Isaac’s wife, and therefore, to continue the offspring that would give birth to the Savior. Only the Lord knows how much you are important in His plans. Therefore, in order to have eternal joy, do not be involved with wrong practices. It is not worth it to exchange salvation for an offer from the devil. 

The way in which things fall into place do not leave a doubt that the Omniscient has conducted all of history. He has also guided your process of salvation and will guide you in everything until you get to Heaven. However, this will only succeed if you do not hinder His work. What would be of us if Abraham and Sarah would not have remained faithful to the calling that they received from the Lord? For your own good, never stop attending the divine orientations.

We are part of a much greater plan than we can imagine. For this reason, despite all the trials, never cease believing in the Most High, for all happiness is in Him, and out of Him there is only an interminable pain. God honors those who honor Him (Rm 13.7); thus, the secret is to keep the commandments, because then, you prove His love. He who loves Him will be loved by Christ and by the heavenly Father (Jo 14.21).
