We admire God’s faithfulness and His ability to create and maintain something, because they are eternal works. Those who experience them are amazed at His power to produce and renew what is worn out. It is good to never forget what Jesus said to Martha: I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live (John 11:25). Only in heaven will we understand how much the Lord has done and is doing!
Today, we know that rain obeys certain laws of nature. In the past, however, this knowledge was unknown. The Lord’s creation is praised by those who study the subject. But unfortunately, some people, despite knowing about these matters, don’t believe that He is the Author of creation. How different the world would be if this unfounded vanity of some people didn’t exist, and they affirmed that Jesus is the Creator, and everything He made is perfect and good!
Rain and snow fall from heaven, but they don’t return there, and the phenomena that produces rain and snow are known. There are still laws to be discovered, things that the Word has created according to the Father’s command. He can give us, or open our eyes to see, what we need. The Bible says: The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction (Proverbs 1:7).
Both rain and snow bring water to irrigate the earth, which in turn makes the seeds we plant yield a good harvest. Men only need to discover the right time to plant in order to see their work rewarded. What would become of the world if it were impossible to understand how and when to plant, following the laws of nature? God has already arranged everything so that humanity is not annihilated.
Those who make a living from producing food for the people must master the rules of planting, because the Lord warns that, as long as the world lasts, there will be sowing and reaping: There is a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck what is planted (Ecclesiastes 3.2). Right after the Flood, the Most High said: While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, winter and summer and day and night shall not cease (Genesis 8.22). What an assurance!
Without the rainy season, most crops would cease to exist. So how would people feed themselves? However, as much as there are alarmists, those who believe in God can rest assured, because His love will never allow this generation to be wiped out. Jesus declared: Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place (Matthew 24:34). Believe!
In the production of grains, the precepts of planting at the right time stand out, as does the watering that makes a tree of its kind sprout, returning seed to the sower and, consequently, giving bread to eat. The Lord’s wise mind thought of this and other things that help sustain humanity.

Lord, Creator of laws! You organized the so-called laws of nature with Your power and ability. That's why everything exists to this day and will continue to until the day the world becomes a ball of fire. We trust in Your Word and rest in Your pure love!
Rain and snow are messages from Heaven that life will go on. But when the last trumpet is blown, and Jesus comes for Your people, and the elements melt in flames, everything will be complete!
Our prayer is that people will understand that the world and the things in it will end at the blessed return of the Savior, when all things will be burned up. Come, Lord Jesus!
