The wicked is the person who knew the Lord, but, for various reasons, left the Path of Life and entered the dark world of unrighteousness, following the direction of the one who did the same in Heaven, when he was still the bearer of light (Isaiah 14.12). Korah started a conspiracy and soon got the support of two leaders of the people – Dathan and Abiram – and 250 other priests for this purpose. These men wanted, at any price, to have someone of theirs in leadership as well as
hat conspiracy arose from an agreement with or without clear determinations, but which aimed to go further, to hinder the Kingdom of God here on earth. When people do not fear the Lord, they invent stories to take over the divine work. However, over time, they get unsatisfactory results, and thus judgment comes. Woe to those through whom offense comes, for they have given themselves over to the devil to destroy God’s plan (Luke 17.1,2). But the Lord watches and acts!
The first rebellion took place in the realm of the spirit, when Lucifer rose up against God and took a third of the angels with him (Revelation 12.1-9). He wanted to be like the Most High, but he became Satan, which means the enemy. The Bible reports: For you have said in your heart: I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God; I will also sit on the mount of the congregation on the farthest sides of the north (Isaiah14.13). Only the purposes of the Lord prosper!
Why do some people stand against the Word that created and saved them? Because of the sins they have committed, which they hide for some reason. Because they didn’t want to be forgiven, they will be sent to the lake of eternal fire. The Word declares: If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us (1 John 1.8-10).
The devil works inside the church, especially when there are elections to decide who will govern it. Because they don’t believe that it is the Lord who builds His House and chooses His leaders, many make wicked deals to occupy the command. May they repent for participating in this plot, for when Christ returns, the impenitent will be left behind. Now, in the work led by the Holy Spirit, there can never be deception!
Dathan, Korah and Abiram rose up to take away Moses’ direction given by the Lord. Because of this, those three men were swallowed up by the earth. They perished to serve as an example that attitudes similar to theirs are inadmissible. The Bible says: and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed them up, with their households and all the men with Korah, with all their goods. (Numbers 16:32). Why does one meddle where he has not been called? No doubt, he let the devil do his thing!
Against Moses and Aaron – Korah started the revolt, which was actually against God. Because of this, Korah and his entire household perished. The other 250 insurgents were killed by the fire that came out before the Lord, and the people, amazed, saw that you don’t mess around with the Lord!

Lord. Where did Korah, the head of a family and belonging to the priesthood, find the excuse to harm Your work? Without a doubt, it was in Satan and his demons. That man paid a heavy price. Today, there are others just like him!
Korah wanted to depose Moses so badly that he disregarded Your hard work, keeping Moses alive, despite Pharaoh's order to kill every Hebrew boy. This hatred came from Hell, for the adversary knew that the Messiah would be born of the Jews.
The evil one is always displeased. So, he causes people to betray God, trying to prevent the salvation of the lost. However, the wiles of evil will fall apart, because You work and give us victory!
and Serug lived after he begat Nahor two hundred years, and begat sons and daughters.
