knowing that shortly I must put off my tent, just as our Lord Jesus Christ showed me. 2 Peter 1.14

We will all depart from this world one day, and this should not torment or upset us. Everything that God has done is good, including the process of our departure into eternity. However, those who don’t know Jesus feel no pleasure in the thought of death. It is our responsibility to preach to the ungodly and prepare them to accept the Savior, for without the new birth, they will be lost forever.

There is a time to be born and a time to die, said Solomon in the book of Ecclesiastes (Ecclesiastes 3.2). There is also the time to reflect on your destiny after death, so that endless torment will never be your dwelling place. After all, why does man refuse to receive the Nazarene as his Savior, if he has much to gain by such a decision? The devil does not want your happiness, but wants you to go with him to the lake of fire and brimstone (Revelation 21.8).

Peter did not murmur when he spoke of this day, but did so with joy. He knew that he was going to the Home of the faithful, of those who accepted Jesus without turning back. Look at the people who really love the Lord: they are happy, honest and holy. Someone somewhere may have gone astray and acted contrary to the Scriptures, but he is in need of our prayers.

Prepare yourself for this moment! Being right with the Lord, you will go to His side. But if you are not yet saved, or have strayed from the Way, rush back into the Savior’s everlasting arms. He never tires of forgiving, nor of granting requests that you or anyone else has made. God treats us equally, and never holds anything against anyone who wants to be happy. He promises to forgive us and to cleanse us from all uncleanness (1 John 1.7)!

At the Master’s return, the saved who are dead will be resurrected with glorified bodies, and the living will be transformed into such bodies that they will see the Lord and know Him as they are known of Him (1 Corinthians 13.12). However, those who have died without salvation will rise to eternal damnation. This is something very serious. Therefore, accept Jesus as your Savior and be saved right now.

The Bible states the following about our earthly death: Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints (Psalm 116.15). The Most High will be on the other side to receive us, but he who is not among the redeemed will one day hear Him say: Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels (Matthew 25.41b). Are you ready?

How have you preserved your tabernacle? Are you following the foolish, who confess that the body is theirs and do with it whatever they want? Now, this idea is not according to the Lord: If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are (1 Corinthians 3.17). Take care not to be destroyed, but to be received by the Creator!

In Christ, with love,

R. R. Soares

Oh God! What a day this will be, the day of our departure to meet You! You will be waiting for us, and we will never be separated from You again. May Your Word keep us, that we may see You and know You as You know us!

Life here is so short that we can say that this day will come soon. We will see You and be with You forever. But while it doesn't come, we want to give more of ourselves to Your Kingdom, leading the lost to love You.

Look at those who have turned away from You. Like Demas, they have loved the world and the things in it. They think there is no more solution, but Your love and Your loving kindness are waiting to hear their heart's plea for forgiveness!
