One generation shall praise Your works to another, And shall declare Your mighty acts. Psalm 145:4

Here is one of the worst things that can happen in the lives of people who are blessed by faith, but who do not share it with their children: seeing them live unworried, and not prepared to face trials. If a man of God hides from his children the struggles he battled to overcome temptations, they will go astray when the first adversity comes their way.

Moses wrote that parents should teach their offspring at home, lest the next generation become spiritually foolish. God commanded the Israelites, “You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up. You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates”  (Deuteronomy 6: 7-9). This should happen as soon as they enter the Promised Land.

But we have not shared this command with new converts. Thus, at school, for example, the teacher teaches that a boy can be a girl, and vice versa, and children take this to be true. Then, when sin becomes part of their lives, it will be difficult to remove the stain from the bad experience. Stay alert!

Our children should be led to see Jesus delivering the oppressed, saving sinners and working wonders, so that when they need a blessing, they will know how to pray and act for themselves. Is there still time to start? Yes, the Scriptural guidelines, which we have not yet paid attention to, must be put into practice right away.

If we fail to teach our children the Truth, we run the risk of seeing them believe in the conversation of people who do not fear the Lord, which say that some sins are “harmless”. This is what the devil has used to corrupt young people. We went through a real work of the Holy Spirit, but we are ashamed to bear witness of it. This way, they get lost in sin. Mercy!

There is still time to bring our descendants to Christ. The world is desperately moving towards eternal doom. Remember: the children are not ours, but the Lord’s inheritance. They need to be properly instructed not to look for the wide door, but to fear God, as Isaac taught Jacob (Genesis 31:42).

It is necessary to establish our family, so that divine work can continue in our home and no one gets lost. According to the verse studied, we are responsible for the eternal destiny of our family members. Take this seriously, for it´s a warning from God!

In Christ, with love,

God of our praise! Thank You for that word that guides us to do for ours what someone else has done for us and, therefore, we are saved. The point is: many have accepted Jesus, but don't care about Your work. Today, they have been warned.

May my readers wake up with this message! If Christ came back now, would their children be saved or lost? Do not allow the people rescued by You to become irresponsible. Help them!

We need to strive to give our children the true education: to become citizens of Your Kingdom. We must do more for those You have given us and protected. Thus, none will deviate from Your Word. Amen!
