19/05/2021 - THE EDIFICATION OF THE CHURCH

Then the churches throughout all Judea, Galilee, and Samaria had peace and were edified. And walking in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit, they were multiplied. Acts 9:31

It’s amazing how we forget about the edification of the Church, which was promised by Jesus right after Peter said He was Christ, the Son of the living God (Matthew 16:18). Observe that the apostle obtained a revelation no one else had received. But for him not to feel better than others, the Master told Peter he was only Peter, a fisherman who was called to be a part of His ministry.

Nowadays, God is making His church steady – you and me. We can’t waste this opportunity. If it weren’t necessary, the Lord wouldn’t have said anything about it. The Lord is enhancing who we are in His hands. Science is being multiplied just as Daniel, the prophet, said around 2.600 years ago (Daniel 12:4). We need more understanding about the truth!

Edification is materialized through a series of blessings conceded to the people of God, those who were born again and received salvation. We won’t just talk about healing and deliverance but we will also participate in His complete work, just as Christ promised, saying: “I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now” (John 16:12). These things the Master has to say must be accepted by all of us.

Before, people couldn’t bear such words, but we can, because we have the Holy Spirit so we can live and serve God better. Every member of the body of Christ must have the capacity to supply for the necessities of humanity now and in the future. After all, the return of Christ is getting closer, just as He said it would happen. The devil is getting desperate!

The lack of peace in the House of God weakens its walls, especially when some create their own group, without interest in others. This demonstrates a spirit of separation. Many good people don’t realize the devil is behind these divisions, operating as the kings of this world do. God is not a God of confusion, but of peace and mercy (1 Corinthians 14:33).

This peace will strengthen the Lord’s servants, according to His will, and the church will begin to grow. We must pray for every stranger to be removed from our midst, for these kind of “Christians” do nothing but harm God’s work. We should do nothing apart from submitting ourselves to God. That way, the evil one can’t stop the lost ones from getting saved. Woe to those who are rebels!

When the church is edified, we will truly walk in the fear of the Lord and in the consolation of the Holy Spirit. That way, we will see more divine power operations. Consecrate yourself completely to the Most High and live in celestial peace!
