When I cry out to You, Then my enemies will turn back; this I know, because God is for me.  Psalm 56:9

After David understood a little bit about God and realized that he didn’t need to fear, but to believe, he turned to the Lord and declared that when he cried out to Him, his enemies would turn back. This is to happen with each one of God’s children, with those who will be found by Him, worshiping and praising Him in spirit and in truth, as Jesus said: God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth (John 4:24). Strive in Christ!

Why did David speak: When I call upon thee? He recognized that we do not always act by faith, according to the Word. Now, the Lord is the same at all times, but we are not (James 1:17). We are surrounded by the father of sin, who wants to devour us, as Peter declared: Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8). This can be reversed if we attend to the Bible!

We have no idea how much the devil invests to bring us down, using his demons with temptations. Incredibly, we often pay attention to them. Our first father, Adam, sold us to the evil one, so we don’t give ourselves to God, who longs for our good. Why do we act this way? Because we do not love the Lord in the right way, that of faith. With Him there is no suffering and no errors, but our evil nature ignores this.

Salvation is a perfect process; however, we must persevere in doing good, without giving the adversary a place in our life. We suffer defeats because we still have evil desires. The battles give the victors the opportunity to get rid of the forces of evil; but those who live with a mind full of filth or committing iniquities, embrace temptations that will make them welcome the eternal flames, and they will burn in the eternal fire. Be vigilant!

If you are in the hands of the enemy, living among the wrong things, but don’t want to be lost forever, there is only one way: cry out to God. David knew that this was the remedy for getting rid of the devil’s pigsty and remain in the beautiful and holy presence of the Lord. So, he claimed that his enemies would turn back if he cried out. The same will happen if the one who lives inside the devil’s cage, as a sad child and knowing his eternal destiny, pleads to God.

Don’t be shy! Try to talk to your true Father, the Lord. Open up to Him, telling Him what has occupied your thoughts and caused you to walk in the paths of death. Then, truly repent. In this way, God will forgive you and deliver you from Satan’s snares. All that the Lord needs to deliver you from the forces of darkness is your sincerity. Confess your iniquities and ask forgiveness for them. Act now and secure your salvation.

When we are in Christ and He is in us, we know that He hears us, answers us, and grants us forgiveness or healing of any disease. Get right with the Lord and get rid of the evils. To the Lord be the glory of your life change! Not for one minute has He failed to help you. If He had abandoned you, the devil would have already taken you to Hell. Love God!
