“Arise, O LORD, Confront him, cast him down; deliver my life from the wicked with your sword, with Your hand from men, O LORD, from men of the world who have their portion in this life, and whose belly You fill with Your hidden treasure. They are satisfied with children, and leave the rest of their possession for their babes.” (Psalm 17: 13, 14)
Just like David did, a son of God must never accept defeat. The enemy can do whatever he wants but he will not be able to cancel the good Word of God. The Lord will stand up to put an end to the tricks of the wicked. Now, for us to become victorious we must state firmly that our transgressions were taken over by the Lord and by His stripes we were healed (I Peter 2:24). Before our Father our guilt becomes nonexistent because it was cleansed by the blood of Jesus shed for our justification (Romans 4:25).
The psalmist’s faith cried out for the Most High to arrest his opponent and to put him down. My brethren, everything that comes from the enemy must be bound and put under your feet. If hell is rising against you, you must not be passive; get close to the Lord and, with faith, ordain the evil spirit – the one which disturbs your peace, your health, your marital and financial happiness and whatnot – to be bound and thrown into the eternal bonfire. The enemy will not be able to withstand the power of the sacred fire.
Do not let your soul in the hands of the torturers. They were defeated by our Savior and because of that they have no right to invade your territory any longer and to bring you a curse. After all, you are free to enjoy an abundant life; you belong to God and you cannot allow any evil in your life. So, with faith, pray and ordain your deliverance. Your order will confirm the Word of the Lord. Being with Jesus is about overcoming, overcoming and overcoming.
The wicked are only interested in making profits. For money they are capable of betraying, killing and doing all sorts of wickedness. They do not know that all they achieve on earth will not be taken to eternity. Now those who serve God know that the best thing to do is
to get The Bread that remains forever: the understanding of the Word of God.
David opened his heart and showed us how much he knew about the spiritual world. To him the only way out was to have a firm faith in the Lord and to serve Him with all his heart and with all his strength. If you have not served God this way yet you should try it out. Those who experience a bit of the Most High do not leave Him for nothing.
The light that king David received regarding divine matters and the love he showed towards the Lord made God Himself say that David was a man after God’s own heart (I Samuel 2:35). Our Father will also say the same about those who serve Him faithfully today.
In Christ, with love,
R. R. Soares
