Now the man who acts presumptuously and will not heed the priest who stands to minister there before the LORD your God, or the judge, that man shall die. So you shall put away the evil from Israel. And all the people shall hear and fear, and no longer act presumptuously.

Deuteronomy 17: 12, 13

Presumption is a feeling caused by an action of the devil in a man’s life and The Lord cannot stand such an evil feeling. At the time of The Law The Most High had established priests to serve Him, those who would hear the divine message and then they would interpret it to the people. Apart from them God had also raised judges to judge the people. Thus, both the priests and the judges would get guidance from The Heavens and they would introduce it to the people; yet those who, out of presumption, would not pay heed to what was being taught should die.

Everything written in the Old Testament typifies what occurs in our days. But, unfortunately, we happen to know people who, out of sheer presumption, still refuse to listen to what The Lord speaks to them. They have no clue at all of the harm they’re causing themselves because the enemy – being aware that they did not pay heed to the divine voice – goes against them with all his wrath. Those who have been attacked by the devil for not listening to what is being said to them by The Almighty are not few. However, those who behave that way, apart from harming themselves, cause others to also despise the warning from The Heavens. That is why, in the biblical times, they had to be put to death so evil was rooted out from among the people of God.

Today many people are also heading for losing their lives. Well, The Lord, out of the love He has for those who would imitate them, cannot let the former get away with it; after all, He does not want His beloved ones to follow the bad example of those who do not listen to His voice. Therefore, mind your acts so that will not happen to you!

Driving someone into losing the fear of the Lord is something extremely significant not to be overlooked in that those who take that kind of attitude – unless they make amends with The Most High – will be heading for perennial doom. The one who causes scandals which drive the little ones away must get his conduct corrected considering that the divine sentence might come upon his life and, this way, no prayer will be able to keep him alive in the end. Many have passed away earlier precisely because they had acted presumptuously instead of obeying what The Spirit of God spoke through His servants.

God wants His people to be respect His instructions. That is why He will not hesitate to cut out the tree which give bad fruit; now the one that bares good fruit will be cleansed by Him so it will bare even more fruit (Matthew 7:17-20). Those who serve The Lord with their whole heart will be rewarded considering that their good example will lead many lives onto The Way of The Father.

It’s worth saying that that demon which caused someone to be presumptuous would turn them into his slave and, for that reason, they should die. Precisely for that, those who have that kind of behaviour today must rush to ask The Almighty for forgiveness and seek their thorough deliverance considering that God will not allow them to make others go astray. The Lord has the forgiveness and the deliverance for the puffed-up men to be set free and to keep on living.

In Christ, with love,
