12/02/2011 - The future of those who are rebellious

“An evil man seeks only rebellion; therefore a cruel messenger will be sent against him.” (Proverbs 17:11)

The demon of rebellion has never converted to Christ and that will never happen. He’s searching for precious lives, but he doesn’t do that by himself; he brings along with him other powerful evil spirits whose main goal is to harrass those who belong to God. Unfortunately, many children of the Lord aren’t serving Him; rather, they’re trying to be served by Him. Now, we must understand that we’re only serving our Father when we do what we’re told by Him through His Word. We’re limited by the revelation of The Truth and we’re absolutely forbidden to do anything against it – however logical or wise it might seem.

When the spirit of rebellion gets into someone’s heart, he or she stops thinking as a servant of God and begins to be driven by human and demoniac feelings. So, their heart begins to be impressed by financial profits, for instance, or by someone else apparently better good-looking than their spouse or by an opportunity of promotion in the business world or in politics. Some people used to be dedicated workers before, but now they’ve become opportunists as people, which can be seen from their way of speaking, dressing and the way they address others. In fact, their spiritual blindness is so huge that they can’t think of anything else apart from getting what they deem to be the best for themselves.

The words of a rebel don’t have that glow as before. They’re not only interested in the Word of God, but in those things that will make them be successful. They might use the Scriptures in some cases, as long as they support their purposes. I pity those who listen to them and follow their counselling because they’ll be groping in the darkness of good thoughts and amazing human ideas, but they’ll never get to achieve the full knowledge of The Truth! Loyalty to their household is something unimportant for those who are rebellious and commitment with the Word of God is non existant now. They’re more interested in speaking the way they know people and friends will listen to them.

They even strived to do good deeds before, they felt pleasure at doing the work of God, they went for lost sheep, they honored other people’s homes and they also honored their commitments, but now their main goal is doing evil. They didn’t do it on purpose, but they listened to deceitful spirits so now the Lord Jesus’ work isn’t their main target – The Truth – they’re more interested in doing all they can to become wealthy. Yet, they’ll have to face many defeats because the Word of God – which never fails – must be fulfilled.

When those men decided to rebel the divine sentence fell onto them: a ruthless messanger will be sent against them. All those who are following them – those with purposes that are not sanctified by the Holy Word – will see what that ruthless messanger will do to their lives. So, my brethren, turn to the Lord for forgiveness now if that’s your case and run towards The Truth before it’s too late.
