11/06/2014 - THE GLORIOUS AND AWESOME NAME OF GOD

If you do not carefully follow all the words of this law, which are written in this book, and do not revere this glorious and awesome name — the Lord your God. Deuteronomy 28.58

The Lord has made two main Covenants with His people. One of them is the agreement settled between two or more people, in which all of them have duties and rights. With people from Israel, God has made an agreement called the Old Testament, in which they were supposed to keep, follow, all the words of the law that was registered in the Pentateuch (the first five books from the Bible) so that they could be able to fear, respect, the big and awesome Name of God: LORD.

They should learn what has been written in the former Covenant and, if they followed all words, the commandments, they would be able to respect the glorious and awesome Name of the Almighty. On the other hand, the Almighty forced himself to be with them and being their God. And then, they would not be afflicted by the enemy or get sick, rather they would prosper to the extent of lending to others but borrow from none (Dt 28.12).

This Covenant was good, but not ideal. Thus, after thousand years of work, the day came when the Lord kept His promise by sending His Son (Gal 4.4). Through the blood of Jesus, he has made a New Covenant. The Bible says that this is better and has been made superior promises (Heb 8.6). In the old one, the Israelites had to keep the law altogether; in the new one, however, of which we are made part of it when we became converted, we only have to believe in what the word declares (John 5.24).

One of the greatest revelations of the New Testament is that the Lord, which is the glorious and awesome name of God, is Jesus’ name. Just as David (the young boy who became king in Israel) did by facing the giant Goliath and declaring that the enemy would come to him with a sword, spear and shield, but he would fight against Goliath in the name of the Lord Almighty of Israel, so we must face the evil that comes to us in Jesus’ name (Mk 16.15-18).

This name is the highest authority we have at our disposal. With it, we open the heavens and close hell. Everything we bind in this name, here on earth, will be bound in heaven (Matt. 18.18). With it, we can and have to reprimand what causes pain, illness and all problems: the devil; so that they will be sent out in full retreat (Luke 10.19). After all, what we have to do is believe that our order given by this glorious and awesome name will not fail.

Now you must give your order in Jesus’ name so that all evil will go away. If you faithfully do this, you will prove that you love the Lord and in doing so, he will also love you (John 14.21). Jesus has promised to do everything you asked for, commanded, determined, ordered and took possession of in his name (John 14.13). This is the best moment to pray. God expects you to take your place so that He can work.
