Therefore David blessed the LORD before all the assembly; and David said: “Blessed are You, LORD God of Israel, our Father, forever and ever.  1 Chronicles 29.10

Praising God is one of the best things to do, for in this act, our soul is enlarged and strengthened in Him. Thus, we will never be ashamed, and with the joy of the Lord dwelling in us, we will be strong to face any battle and come out victorious. The enlargement of the soul gives us a capacity never imagined, which will help us so much that we will no longer collect defeats, but victories!

Seeing the liberality of the Israelite authorities in action, David praised God with perfect praise and then offered a beautiful and blessed prayer: Yours, O LORD, is the greatness, the power and the glory, and the honor, the victory and the majesty; for all that is in heaven and earth is Yours; Yours is the kingdom, O LORD and You are exalted as head over all (1 Chronicles 29:11). Everything he said about God is true and belongs to us in Jesus.

Next, the king prophesied something that concerns us, saying: Both riches and honor come from You, before thee, and You reign over all. In Your hand is power and might; in Your hand it is to make great and to give strength to all (1 Chronicles 29:12). When God blesses us, riches and glory come to make us better and strengthen us. The Father rules over everything and in His hand is magnifying. If you are facing difficulties, believe that the divine promises are already yours!

Today, we do not need to name the patriarch Israel, one of our fathers in the faith, for we know the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has completed us with all the blessings for the present and those we will need until the last minute of our life (Ephesians 1.3ff). The saved have in Christ the right Bread to feed on and to do God’s holy will. The Lord will supply every need, so believe and enjoy!

In the face of so many revelations of the ability of the Most High and His gifts to us, revealed in the Scriptures, He desires that we make use of them for His glory, as John was used to say: Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things, and  be in health, just as your soul prospers (3 John 1:2). Vows must be accepted, and blessings enjoyed. God is good at all times!

From David’s prayer, we can understand that everything the Lord declares to be ours, as well as His immense power, is from everlasting to everlasting. This means that it was His before He made man in His image and likeness, and after the fall and recovery of mankind accomplished in the death and resurrection of Jesus. All that God possesses is ours (Luke 12:32); therefore, we should not limit ourselves with regards to blessings!

Praising God is an expression of satisfaction for having known Him as He is. Now, the god presented in various churches or religions considered Christian is vengeful, evil and wicked; in no way resembles our Lord and Savior. Jesus said: He who sees me sees him who sent me (John 12:45). The heavenly Father is the real God!
