You can tell if Jesus is your Shepherd by the way you live (1 John 2.6). To have Him as your Shepherd doesn’t mean to be a mushy religious person – people who feel exaggerated, ridiculous, and ashamed of insignificant things – but someone who knows how to do the work. Besides, the true servant of God is brave, cheerful, ready to face any attack of evil, gentle in his words, of gentle presence, and has the Lord at his side. This is a real winner!
With Christ in your life, you will lack nothing; in any need, you will know how to turn to Him. For the faithful sheep, nothing is too difficult, because they see the solution to their problems. Because they know the Door out of the crisis and into the divine Barn, they place themselves before the Almighty and soon get the answer. Thus, they never shame the Name that keeps them, because they know their position in Jesus. They are always welcome!
No matter what situation you face: Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Heb 13.8). As the Good Shepherd, He is ready to lead you to the green pastures, where there is total prosperity. With Him, there is no weeping or frustration, for, like the Lord, those who are in Him do not rely on what is apparent or give in to sin, but, if in need, claim what they need, give to the needy, lend and enjoy the good.
Look at how you live. This will show if the Lord is your Shepherd. If not, this is the moment to be truly converted and start enjoying the abundant life (John 10:10) brought by Jesus and made available to those who truly trust in Him. He tells you: But you are not willing to come to Me that you may have life. (John 5.40). To be saved means to free oneself from bad things, to enjoy the blessings left by the Savior in favor of His servants.
He gave His life for us, so that we might come out of the kingdom of darkness, misery, and sin, and be successful. The Savior takes pleasure in our prosperity: Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers. (3 John 1.2). To follow Him means to live victoriously, holy and free from all that is worthless: it is to have a full life.
When we were separated from God, He went to hell to fight the devil and took us out of his hands, how can He not give us all things now? (Rom 8.32). Is the Good Shepherd inconsistent and has deceived us by promising to accomplish anything we ask in His Name? Of course not. He is the blessed Savior, who healed those who touched His garments and multiplied food for thousands of people. Christ is the same today!
Examine the words of the victorious King of Israel about the Highest: Let them shout for joy and be glad, who favor my righteous cause; And let them say continually, “Let the Lord be magnified, Who has pleasure in the prosperity of His servant.” (Ps 35.27). Indeed, the Lord gave Himself for those who believe in His Word. Unbelieving and perverse generation, be converted! Jesus gives abundant life in every way. To serve Him is to live for real!

Lord! We have been misleading about You, by believing in things You did not promise and despising Your declarations. We will indeed have afflictions, but we will overcome them in Your Name. It is good to have You on our side!
We have to live godly, but at the same time be like the patriarch Abraham, who prospered in all things, like Isaac and also Jacob, who even with You struggled and prevailed!
If the world knows Your power, it will be freed from the lies of religions. Those who serve You need to be Your calling card, bearing good witness. It is not right for believers to live badly if You are the good Shepherd. Joy and peace upon Your children!
