“Which has come to you, as it has also in all the world, and is bringing forth fruit, as it is also among you since the day you heard and knew the grace of God in truth” (Colossians 1:6)
The message Christ commanded us to preach – the Good News – is also called the Gospel’s Word of Truth. We must not be shy when it comes to telling people that the Good News we preach is the Word of Truth. There are no errors or lack of power in the Word. If weakness is found in the message we teach it means we’re ignoring our capacity to do what comes into our hands. We have the same message and the same power the Lord Jesus was invested with so that He could minister to those people during His earthly ministry.
Our Master told His disciples to go all over the world to spread the precious Word of God (Mark 16:15). Yet, many failed to be faithful to the commandments of Jesus and began making up doctrines and rules to the point of turning the Gospel of Jesus into a dead and evil religion which has barely anything to do with what Christ did. We must go back to our roots and take that knowledge to all people all over the world.
The Word of God bears fruit by Itself. All we have to do is to remain faithful to the teachings of the Scriptures and convey Its message the way it should be conveyed, then we’ll be able to see wonders happening, people being converted and the work of God being fulfilled just like in the first days of the Christian ministry. It bore fruits and evolved among the Colossians, and the same must happen among us as well; otherwise, we won’t be doing what Jesus told us to do.
Those Colossian brethren were quite privileged because the Word bore fruits among them. Those must have been wonderful days because the power of God could operate freely among them. If we do what we were told to do and if we are faithful to Him, we’ll see the same wonders occurring in our midst. If we happen to see
people sinning, or ailing, or killing each other or engaging in any other kind of wrongdoing, we must let the Word of God bear its fruits.
It begins giving its fruits exactly the moment it is preached and accepted. Everyone who does what Jesus did, will surely get the same results He did; yet, if they insist on behaving differently they’ll certainly get different results. The world’s craving for, crying out and hoping to see the manifestation of the true children of God.
The Grace of God operates in Truth, so if you want to be delivered from any woes you must know The Truth because the Lord said that’s how we will be set free. If we get everyone to know it, we’ll certainly be free people.
