03/03/2012 - THE GREAT DIFFERENCE

I have given them Your word; and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.

John 17:14

Christians are not of the world and have nothing to do with the system that dominates the Earth and enslaves millions of people with all kinds of sins; therefore we should not put our heart on the things of this world. Now, there is nothing wrong with enjoying the good things, however we cannot love them to the point of making them central to our lives; after all, our attention must always be focused on what we know to be God\’s will for us.

It is also important to run away from the lies of Satan, otherwise we will not please the Lord. The Word – which has been given by God – delivered us from any submission to the power of the devil. Now, we are children of the Most High, citizens of heaven and for this reason the world hates us. But that matters little to us – because if the world loved us something wrong would be going on. The more we surrender to our God the more clearly we will see the difference there is in our favor because we are not under the worldly yoke but rather under the love of the Father.

An important thing to consider is the fact that the least child of God is a member of His eternal kingdom just as much as we are. Jesus was disconnected from the world too and now is connected to our Father forever. If we search really well, we will see that all members of the blessed Body of Christ have gifts that would help a lot if they were put into action. For this reason, we must pray for all the saved ones and struggle so that none of them should perish. To help our brethren in Christ assert their rights is an attitude we must take.

The position we have in Jesus is a position of complete safety. So my brethren, every time the enemy tempts you by showing you that there is no difference between your life and that of anyone else remember that, like Christ, you are not of this world. If Satan insists on harassing you, use the Name of Jesus to rebuke all evil. Do not give way to the evil one in your life, but if by any chance you fall into transgression, seek God\’s forgiveness immediately. Do not live far from the Lord even for a second!

We do not have to do any sacrifice to stop being of the world as we attain our position in Christ freely. You only need to remain firm in it, believing that Jesus would never say anything but the plain truth. We are not of the world. Hallelujah!

Lead your life in a way worthy of your position in Jesus, above all the evil forces. In so doing you will always have authority over the enemy. When we are born again (John 3:3) – which happens when we accept Jesus as our Savior – we have the same authority that He has. So, we never lose that position of supremacy over the enemy and his works because God’s gifts are irrevocable. Our salvation has already been decided!
