Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.   John 15:13

Love can be small or big, cold or hot, friendly or misleading. The servant that fully obeys the Lord shows Him how much they love Him. However, he who hides in the midst of any foolishness is certainly a strong candidate to betray the One who called them for the mission. The best attitude is to accept the mission, for it was given by God, and set out to fulfill it since the first divine touch.

Those who do not have compassion with the pain and suffering of someone, those who do not strive to lead someone who is lost to receive salvation, don’t know how much they sadden the heart of the Father. In order to save us, the Creator worked during thousands of years, and when everything was set, He gave His only begotten Son to die in our place. The Most High knew the affliction Christ would go through for us to be saved, but He did not step back.

Abraham proved he loved his nephew Lot when he armed his 318 servants, born in his house, and went out to battle against the four kings who were spreading terror everywhere they went. Those who love only have one thing in mind: do something for the loved one to be set free and be fine. The pain can be immense, the exit impossible, however, the one who loves always finds the door. Jesus is the Door – the entrance and the way out too.

David proved to love God when he offered himself to fight Goliath, the giant who was mocking the army of the living God. Likewise, religious practice in some parts of the world promise to kill whoever attempts to convert a person to Jesus, and that drives away many preachers. There is no price to pay for those who love Jesus, but what will you do for those who are lost? This proves your love.

Jeremiah, although he was threatened to be sent to the dungeon, he did not stop speaking the truth, and he almost paid with his own life the love he had for God and His people. He wished that his head were waters, and his eyes a fountain of tears, that he might weep day and night for the slain of the daughter of his people! (Jeremiah 9:1). The priest did what he could to remove the people of Judah from deceit, because he loved God with all his heart.

Paul was not offended, and even though he was sworn death, he went to Jerusalem, where he gave testimony of the Lord. If he had remained silent, God would have remained silent about him too. The apostle was told that all that mattered was for him to be before Cesar, and thus, it was done. What happened through the way had no importance, for he had to fulfill what had been decided about him. Most assuredly, he will receive a beautiful crown, on the great Day.

Mary could have been stoned if she came out pregnant, although she was single, but she loved the Lord, and He convinced Joseph to receive her as his wife, because she was carrying the generation of the son of God. There is no greater love than that of Jesus; He died in our place, He overcame the devil and He resurrected. In His death, we were vivified with Him.

In Christ, with love,

Loving God! Things are so different when we listen to Your Word and pay attention to the testimony that comes from Your mouth. We begin to see and hear in a very clear manner. Thus, we please You.

The greatest love we can have in our life is the dedication towards Your teachings. Therefore, we ask You to speak more to us and take us to fully give in to Your commandments, for we want to serve You.

There are so many beautiful examples, like that of Abraham, the judges, prophets, kings and priests, who did not depart from You despite going through difficult moments in life. We will be Your servants, no matter where You will take us to and what You will command us to do.
