06/10/2018 - THE GREATEST PRIVILEGE IN LIFE

Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him. John 14:23

All that God has of you will be all that you have from Him.  Some do not acknowledge this fact; others pay attention but they do not follow the established conditions and unfortunately they don’t know what they lose out on for not having the Creator abide in them.  This is not a religious doctrine, where people go all out to be good and “please” God, but it is the safe and sure direction and instruction for the greatest privilege in life!

To love the Lord is to keep His commandments (John 14:21), calling out to Him and enjoying His mercy and what He says with regard to what He has done and will do to all those who seek Him with all their heart.  Those that do as Jabez, who in spite of his birth conditions was the most honored of his brothers (1 Chronicles 4:9), will obtain everything they seek from the Most High.  However, those that stay home and never ask the Father are the true prodigal of the story, and for this reason do not serve God well.

Besides having to seek and find the promises of the Lord, we must also guard and keep them, even though some don’t seem to be marked for us.  For example, there are people who were born again and do not want to prosper, because they view themselves like Christians that never enjoyed progress in life.  Nevertheless, who said that the Lord finds pleasure in this attitude, seeing as they do not believe in the divine promises?  Walking in this light, they miss out on the greatest privilege in life!

The Israelites had claimed Canaan, but many were negligent and did not take their claim to which they were entitled.  No servant of God needs to cry for prosperity or grace to fulfill the will of the Lord, because the divine power gave us everything with respect to life and piety (2 Peter 1:3).  Just as in Canaan, we must fight against the former dwellers, since it was God who gave us that land.  Wake up and live!

We do not know what the sons of Jacob had in mind. Joseph called them careless, for they did nothing to claim possession of what was theirs. Many people go to the hills and pray to prosper in life, but what ask for something that is already ours? The leper said: “If You are willing, You can make me clean.” The Master immediately stretched out His hand, touched the man and said: “I am willing; be cleansed.” (Mark 1:40,41). 

The willingness of Jesus will solve the problem of all those who want to succeed. After all, if everything has been given to us by divine power, we just need to be baptized in the Holy Spirit, believe and command the problems to be undone, people healed and temptations defeated. Perhaps someone might misunderstand Jesus´ doctrine and say that if things are this way then we don´t need to pray anymore. But I tell you: not to receive blessings, but to seek divine will we must.  

Whoever you are, discover any of the promises in the Scriptures and believe that it is for your life; then, pray and take hold of it. It´s not necessary to wait in order to be blessed, for this happened when we accepted Jesus as our Savior. Wake up! Cancer leaves your life when you decide to love God – when you keep and fulfill the Word.
