And we have such trust through Christ toward God.
II Corinthians 3:4
If God had not created the great plan of salvation, our eternal destiny would be hell. He who is sensible must ponder very carefully on what this work means because in order for it to be accomplished the Son of the Most High had to strip Himself of His divine authority as well as of His prerogatives as the Word of God so as to be born here in this world as a man. Upon His death not only did He bore all our sins but also all the suffering that came into this world with the fall of Adam. Because of such great love, today salvation is mankind’s way of escape not only to get rid of eternal damnation but also to enjoy all celestial blessings.
The work was simple and yet very complex at the same time. Humanly speaking, it is not possible to believe that a confession is enough to set us free from the empire of evil, but that\’s the plain truth! However, he who yields to the temptation of improving what God has done not only offends the Lord but also shows great folly because it is tantamount to calling God imperfect or unskillful, which is a lie for there is nothing that needs to be added to the plans and accomplishments of our Father.
Pay attention to this fact: when we accept Jesus as our Savior we acquire faith, so there is no need for us to live by sight any longer (II Corinthians 5:7), or by what we deem right or even by what someone might state to be best for us. The believer must live by what he believes when he hears the preaching of the Word or reads of the Scriptures. Faith is the weapon we need to resist evil, obtain the blessing we need and please God (Hebrews 11:6). In fact, those who live by faith will have no condemnation in their life.
When we act believing in the power that is in the Lord, we please Him who now lives in our hearts. So only then we have what it takes to overcome any oppression that hell is engulfing us with. The confidence we have in the Most High must be the hallmark of our life. So, in any situation, we must confess that He will protect us and give us the right direction. Indeed, we only have to resort to the Word in order to be
helped.
My brethren, never fail to trust in the Almighty because by trusting Him you are able to enjoy what has been given to you in the Beloved. Everything that concerns your life was given to you so there is nothing – absolutely nothing – that you might need now or in the future that has not yet been granted. So just use that confidence without having any doubts of your victory and without begging for blessings, but rather taking possession of what belongs to you in the Lord!
God called us to be conquerors through Him who loved us (Romans 8:37). Therefore, we do not have to do anything to enjoy the wonderful gifts given to us in Christ. Faith is the assurance that we will always be successful and that in any circumstance the victory is ours because the evil one has no weapon more powerful than the one we have!
