31/01/2020 - THE HEART AND LIPS OF THE WICKED MAN

For their heart devises violence, And their lips talk of troublemaking. Proverbs 24:2

I will begin by speaking of the verse previous to this one, which deals with evil men. That is how they are called because they do evil and are not ashamed to tell it to others.  Others act like “a goody two-shoes”: they have a pious face, soft and pleasant talk, but they are quite dangerous. People who delight in doing wrong things should not be on our friends list.

By the way they speak of the ugly and filthy things they do, the wicked lead the weak to desire to be with them, for they make the error seem to be something good that all should experience. Now, he who is good must not act this way, for he knows he has Heaven to win and Hell to avoid. I never want to be with the wicked men, not even in thought.

In the days of the apostle Paul, a disciple left him, loving the present century and going to Thessalonica (2 Timothy 4:10). We have seen people do the same today. They are exchanging eternal happiness for the pleasures of the wide door. But one day, when they realize, they will see that this path must not be followed, because it leads to perdition. What will they do when it’s all over?

Deviation begins when the Christian is jealous of evildoers, enjoying their kind of life, observing and listening to them.  This kind of “saved” is already well advanced towards the lake of fire and brimstone by rejoicing in sin. In a short time, he will give in to the desire to be among the lost and will no longer see the difference between what is good and the filthy life they´ll have.

Evil people, men or women, are trumpeters of the goods of Hell, and so they manage to corrupt the foolish and lead them to surrender to the devil. Why would anyone experience the enemy’s fire and get burned if one can drink from the water given by Jesus and be completely saved? What will those who get involved in error do after spending the short time here on Earth? Mercy!

Never allow the envy of evil men to reach your life, because in the end you will perceive that your choice was not a good one. Judas Iscariot had the privilege of being a disciple of Christ, learning to do good and seeing the Lord defeat every kind of demon. Judas himself preached the Word and freed people, but coveted those who should never be envied – the corrupt ones – and became a thief and a traitor. Where is he today?

You have been called to be part of the Body of Christ, so stay away from those whose heart devises violence, and their lips talk of troublemaking. Stop looking at the lost and turn to the Lord. The most important thing is to love God with all your heat and all your soul. Thus, you will be loved by the Father and Son!

In Christ, with love,

Father, we thank you for your great counsels. Your words are important to those who love You and desire to do Your holy will. When Jesus returns, we will see the difference between the saved and the lost!

Why envy the wicked, who like moral and spiritual filth? Help Your children not to look at the devil's offers; in the end, everything is an illusion. Do not allow us to be fooled, but visit us with Your Spirit and refresh our soul.

Why would anyone wish to be with those who approve error, if one can stay with Jesus and see that holiness is infinitely better than filthiness? Our desire is to know Your love and never depart from Your presence.
