Ointment and perfume delight the heart, and the sweetness of a man’s friend gives delight by hearty counsel. Proverbs 27.9

In between the lines of the Bible, there are hidden treasures. The Lord Jesus told us to examine the Scriptures, for they testify about Him (Jo 5.39). In fact, the Word of God testifies about all of us as well. When we read the Bible, we must do it with all attention, because while we read, the Lord speaks. The revelations that we receive from the Holy Book are messages and commandments given by the Father.

The oil is one of symbols of the Holy Spirit, and one of His missions is to reveal us everything that was said in Heaven. However, the more attentive we are to understand the message of God, the better it will be. Although we are aware of what we can obtain through the Scriptures, we do not always pay attention to it, so in the end we lose a lot. What is best is to always be on alert so that you do not waste the moment of your visitation.

As the Lord answers a request in order to operate in our favor, in His wisdom and through His Word, He instructs us what to do. However, if we do not pay attention to His revelation, we will lose the best counsel from He who knows it all. Even though we might ask for the blessing, we will not receive it. Therefore, never despise what the heavenly Father tells you, for the power that will bring you triumph is in His revelation.

The perfume is the praise we give to the Lord, which fills us with great joy. Few things in life are as beneficial as praising God. The fact that the Most High instructs us to praise Him does not mean that He is eager for worship, as if He were someone that loves being flattered. He does this for our own good. As we praise God, we release ourselves to listen to Him. True praise comes from the heavenly Father in the great congregation and helps those who participate in it.

The moment we feel the touch of the Holy Spirit along with the desire to praise the Lord, joy comes to our heart. This proves that Jesus has visited us. Now, when the Savior visits us, He does not only come to greet us or because He misses us, but also to solve our problems. Enjoy the most you can of the situations in which your heart is gladdened by Jesus’ visit and be completely fulfilled.

As you visit the sick, do not use the same words as people from this world. Speak God’s words and see that the heart of the sick will also be gladdened. Thus, you will have ministered to him a good medicine, for the merry heart does good, like medicine (Pv 17.22). If the sick continues with a broken spirit, his bones will dry out, and he will not be able to resist evil.

With a merry heart, people will have a cheerful countenance – their spiritual appearance (Pv 15:13). In other words, this person will have the conditions to rebuke the source of his suffering. Do everything so that the person in suffering might rejoice in the Lord. If he continues with his pain, he will be downcast, and this is all that the enemy desires in order to accomplish his work in that life.

In Christ, with love,

Dear Father and Master! We lose so many blessings for not understanding what You declare in Your Word. We need Your counsels and Your wisdom so that we do not despise anything of them. Without You we are not able to take one step or do anything else.

We need to understand more about the oil and praise. We cannot lose any battle, and the only way we will not waste Your help is to take hold of what You tell us and show us, for these revelations are our strength.

We need so much of the visitation of the Lord Jesus so that our heart is gladdened and completely fulfilled. Being merry, our structures will be strong and ready to resist the attacks of the enemy, and then Your work will be complete in us.
