To execute on them the written judgment – this honour have all His saints. Praise the Lord!

Psalm 149:9

It does not add up! Why not all those who deem themselves to be children of God really believe in Him, and nor they serve Him with love and commitment. The Lord not only has provided us the great salvation, but He has also covered us up with power above all evil power. Now, if Christians stood firm in their position of authority and if they only were committed to prayer; and determined to fulfil the commands of The Most High and if they obeyed The Word all of us would be greatly blessed indeed.

It is worth giving a warning to the lost as regards to a quite significant matter: those who do not give themselves to The Lord in the same proportion of their duty to His Word may be held accountable for those lives that find it hard to be delivered from evil powers; evil powers which keep those people in sin and in doom (Ezekiel 33: 1 – 9). That is the reason why we cannot give the same excuse Cain did by answering The Lord with another question: “Am I my brother’s keeper?” (Genesis 4:9).

Demons must be cheering up with negligent Christians since they pay no notice to The Words of The Lord – and for that they are not being used by Him and, by doing so, they do not get in the way of the empire of darkness. The bad news is that as they fail to do their duty as guardians of The Truth and builders of the divine work, their fake testimony give evil spirits a push to keeping many people in error. My brother, look into yourself and see if that is your case!

Suppose your life was dominated by a sin; if you knew that someone has the power to deliver you, but they do not use such authority on your behalf, what would your feelings be like as regards to that person? Well, we have to assume our calling and be committed to delivering the oppressed. That is such an honour which is available to all those who are called up to establish the family of The Lord. That is why we are privileged, the chosen ones to do the divine will.

On top of that, the accountability of using the gifs and talents entrusted to us for the edification of The Kingdom of God is upon us (I Corinthians 14: 12). Those who do not do their duty will be judged and then convicted by The Most High on the Day of Judgement. We will have to be accountable for what we have done or what we have failed to do with the power granted to us by Him.

Being disobedient to The Lord is one of the worst sins that someone might ever commit since those who do so can even go from telling lies, to deceiving people, to engineering betrayal and denying assistance to their neighbour. Yet, something even worse is getting The Most High frustrated as regards to your calling and the plan He worked out for your life and for those you ought to be assisting now. So, it is good to keep Him always happy with you.

Correct your failure and do not allow Mammon or Satan himself to be lords of your will. The Word declares that if we resist the devil he will flee from us (James 4: 7 b). That means that if you do not give in to the temptation that insists on showing you the fake advantages of error it will not disturb you any longer. Therefore, make the decision to do good considering that your greatest calling in life is to praise The Lord with everything you have.

In Christ, with love,

R. R. Soares
