15/01/2011 - THE IMPORTANCE OF THE WAY OF RIGHTEOUSNESS

In the way of righteousness is life, and in its pathway there is no death. (Proverbs 12:28)

God did not make man to be a puppet, but endowed him with free will and capacity to decide, which means the Lord respects our decisions. It was the Creator who proposed two ways: death and life. The decision is ours, but He helps us deciding. Accepting the path of death is not simply a choice but a rupture between ourselves and the Lord, who is constantly watching over us and showing that the path of life is the best one. The Almighty makes us see that the way that leads to death is a path of suffering both here and in eternity. Therefore, he who complies with evil will have no excuses in the Great Day.

The path of righteousness is a beautiful way opened to us in the Word of God. What you understand when you hear the preaching of the Scriptures or when you read the Bible is the door that the Lord opened so that, through it, you can reach out to Him and be away from the attacks of the evil one. The secret of a trouble-free and successful life is to walk in the road of faith. If you despise what the heavenly Father gives you, you will be very unhappy.

The way of righteousness is full of good things. In His wisdom the Almighty planned for us to have everything we needed during our stay on earth. Nobody came to the world by chance or was devoid of the conditions to be successful. Now, it is necessary that the people of God grow in understanding so that even those who were born with physical and mental illnesses, or other problems, can be healed and thus be able to enjoy the good things in store for them. The proof of what we are able to do was given to us by Jesus when he healed the paralytics, the blind, the deaf and other individuals who needed divine miracle.

In the design of the Almighty, nothing was forgotten. He arranged for His children to be more than conquerors in all things (Romans 8:37). So, when evil attacks us, we can go to Him and ask for direction through His Word, and then our Maker will show us what is at our disposal in the way of righteousness that will help us escape any diabolical attack.

There is no trace of the operation of Satan in the way of righteousness, so do not stray from it because he who departs from the way that was opened to him by God will come across a lot of pain, distress and suffering. If your days have been difficult and you cannot fulfill your dreams, it\’s time to go to the Lord and talk seriously with him. Probably, you have walked in a way which was not opened for you by the Father. So, strive and be vigilant so that you can only tread the way He has devised for you!

Besides everything we have already seen, it is written that he who keeps his command will experience nothing harmful (Ecclesiastes 8:5a). It is good to know that, isn’t it?
