Seeing the people of Israel murmuring, Moses sought God. Then, he received the word that it was unnecessary to fear, because the Lord would fight for them. However, the damage was already done, so the Israelites didn’t even understand what the Most High was telling them. Now, no matter how far you have gone, turn to God and tell Him that you want to be washed of your sins, cleared by the blood of Jesus and delivered from oppression.
This instruction was incomprehensible to them, because they were already contaminated by the bad news. They would only believe if they received a tremendous admonition from the Lord, and Moses the leader, struggled to avoid this. But the rebuke came, so they knew that they would wander for 40 years in the desert, until the men who were over twenty years old that day died naturally or accidentally (Deuteronomy 1.35). Be vigilant!
The Hebrews could not even reason. The lie had caused them enormous harm. Even though Moses told them the truth, they were no longer able to remember the Lord’s promise to go with them. When one fails to take divine guidance, he closes the door to the light, and darkness guides him. Having the presence of the glorious King of Heaven beside them was what they needed, yet they could not trust.
The Lord would fight for them and so they would take over the land – that was the promise. Why don’t we also sometimes beg God to give us the ability to understand His Word? If this happens, we will never again be deceived by the devil. Try to get right with your heavenly Father, so that the hellish kingdom doesn’t change your fate, causing you to lose your great opportunity in life. The Lord will help you!
God would do for them all that He had done in Egypt. There, they lived under the worst condition a man can experience: slavery. This is the situation of the person who is addicted to drugs, partners with the devil in prostitution, or who practices any crime or idolatry and witchcraft. Whoever invokes the dead will never be free, because God strictly forbids such practice in the Scriptures (Deuteronomy 18.11,12).
In Egypt, the Israelites saw how much the whip of a bad master hurts. Not only did they have to work without any rights, starting very early in the morning and going until after sunset, but they couldn’t go anywhere they wanted. From one hour to another, they became subject to the Egyptian masters. God would not let it stay that way, but would lead His people to the first steps towards freedom. First, He delivered them from Pharaoh and then from the King of Hell. Hallelujah!
Today, we no longer need to walk under Satan’s oppressive yoke. Jesus of Nazareth went where the chief of wickedness was and took from him the authority he had stolen from Adam, with which he oppressed mankind. This is now a thing of the past. The saved must only look at the work of Christ at Calvary and demand evil to go away. Amen!
In Christ, with love,

Lord who never gives up! You helped Moses to the utmost, so that Israel would not go into the wilderness. He told them that You were their God, but because they fell for the lie, they didn't listen to You anymore. Deliver us from the wrong messages!
For us, the important thing is to bow down before the revelation of Your Word. We cannot fall into rebellion. We desire to know You as You should be known, to serve only You, and never serve fear or sin. Father, we are Your servants!
Go before us and fight on our behalf. Our glory is to trust in You, in the power of Jesus' Name and the guidance of Your Spirit. Do with us what was accomplished in Egypt, when the greatest empire in the world had to set Your people free. We thank You!
