“Pull me out of the net which they have secretly laid for me, for You are my strength.” (Psalm 31:4)

Those who accept God as the Lord of their lives will surely find out how much He can do in their favor. We just have to listen to His voice and, if necessary, call Him according to the revelation He grants us. The Most High is the One who heals (Exodus 15: 26), He supplies our needs (Psalm 23:1; 34:9), He forgives our sins (Psalm 78:38; Isaiah 43:25), He’s our strength (Psalm 28:7; 31: 4) and He also grants us other countless blessings.

We can’t cry out to Him if we don’t know what He can do for us. Yet, once we’re blessed with His revelations we have Him at our disposal. So we can invoke Him whenever we need and He’ll surely operate in our lives. The Most High can see further than us and He spots the problem when the devil is still at the first steps of his plan, that’s why He stands for us.

Always be on the alert when reading the Bible and listening to the preaching of the Word; that’s when the Lord reveals Himself to us. He made Himself known as the Almighty One to Abraham. So, with 318 slaves born at home, the patriarch went after the four kings who had defeated those of Sodom and Gomorrah and also those kings of the surrounding towns and he defeated all of them (Genesis 14). God showed David His strength, apart from His other qualities. So, the psalmist was able to call Him as such because He had operated in David’s favor.

David’s enemies didn’t know that and they set up snares for the pastor of Israel. At first, that seemed not to work, but when David felt his life was at stake due to the traps set in secret, he remembered the Lord had already promised to help him out and cried out to Him. All those that turn to God with faith, those who stand firm in the revelation He made about Him to them will definitely have the Lord fighting with them.

You’ll be tremendously benefited if every time the Word sheds its light you don’t let it go unnoticed, but rather stick to that revelation and don’t give it up. In doing so, you’ll manage to have our Father fighting in your favor whenever you’re in trouble.

According to the psalmist’s prayer, we can see he was weak and he needed someone to get him out of the entanglement in which he was caught up. So, when he remembered what the Lord had already told him, the beloved king began praying. In his clamour, he stated that God was his strength; so, his prayer was answered and he believed in it. That was recorded in order for anyone to be able to have the Father by their side, operating in their favor. Yet, pay attention: If you’re negligent and do not take the revelation you’ve been given seriously, you’ll cry out, but you won’t be answered. So, watch out!

In Christ, with love,
