For the LORD your God is He who goes with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you.

Deuteronomy 20:4

The Israelites, though being the chosen people of The Lord, did not receive the promise that they would only live a life in peace and that they would never have to face battles. We, Christians, were also told by Jesus that in this world we would go through tribulations (John 16:33). Undoubtedly, behind any hindrances or suffering lies the hand of the devil, and that is the reason why we have to go for the battle and win, otherwise we will be defeated by Satan who does not come against us to kid around.

God knows and sees everything. Actually, there’s nothing covered up to His eyes. When He allows the enemy to attack us The Lord Himself is ready to fight on our behalf. In fact, He allows struggles to come in our way so we will be strengthened and, thus, we will experience more of His love.

The Most High identifies Himself as The God of His people and He promised that He would be with them in battles. With that, the Israelites were certain that they would not end up being defeated; so they should not fear even though they thought to be in disadvantage. My brother, the same goes for you regardless what the enemy might be using to try to defeat you – either a temptation or an irremediable sickness – you must trust in The Almighty considering that His hand will always be upon your life to protect you so you will not be hit.

Every time Israel trusted in The Lord and stood firm to face their defiant opponent they knew they had The Most High as their God. There were times in which The Omnipotent One made incredible wonders to help those who trusted in Him such as, for instance, when He cast down hailstones from The Heavens with such marksmanship which got rid of the enemies of His people (Joshua 10:11), or when He met Joshua’s request for the sun to stand still and did not rush to set down (verses 12 – 14). Even today God behaves in a special way for all those who put their trust in His Word.

God would not be happy to just stare at the fight of the children of Israel going on, and He would not do the same today either! He marched firmly to battle against the opponents of His beloved people. Therefore, we, members of The Body of Christ, are not to fear anything hell might cast on our lives. Those who are victimised by incurable sicknesses must stand up right away, in faith, and go for the battle in the Name of Jesus. This way, The Lord Himself will fight for them.

The Almighty fights for His children to save them. Therefore, you must not be afraid of any struggle that might come up in your way. As you go for the battle you can be certain that The Lord will be with you to defeat your opponents. He is unbeatable, a Warrior and, better than anyone else, He knows exactly what to do to give His children the victory they’re going for. Don’t worry and don’t be scared even though the devil might have come with stronger powers than yours. Don’t give up! Because you will win in the end! After all, The One who’s fighting for your life is The Almighty, He is your God!
